Mourning and alone

Nov 26, 2011 23:44

[ooc: This post is a follow-up to this. I'm not locking it, so if you want to talk to Carver about why he's so upset, feel free.]

Carver doesn't know where to go. The Hanged Man is the obvious first option but... he refuses to get drunk. He refuses to hide from the pain. He has to work through this. To let go.

But then he sees a father and young boy shopping at one of the vendors' stalls, and he can't handle the sight. For two days, he had a son. And life just isn't the same now that he's been torn away. He shakes his head and runs. He doesn't know where he's running to, nor does he care. He just runs through the streets, choking back tears.

Eventually he stops, and he slides down against the wall of a building, burying his head in his arms.
