Prologue
So, this is a story I JUST wrote. It's only the prologue, and I don't know how long it's going to be. I haven't really written in years, but I thought I'd give it another shot. If you don't like boy on boy stuff, then don't read it. There's no sex in this chapter. I'm not making any promises about the future ones though :]

Prologue
Kaiden and Noah were cuddling in their bed. Kaiden lay awake thinking how perfect his life had become. He had a great job, and amazing boyfriend, and a beautiful apartment. He looked over at the alarm clock next to the bed and saw that it read 2:47 A.M. He really should get some sleep, but he wasn’t tired. He decided to go out for a little walk.
He slowly untangled himself from his boyfriend and kissed his cheek. He quietly got out of bed and slipped on a pair of pants, not quite sure if they were even his. He pulled on a shirt, and grabbed a jacket. He checked the pockets to make sure his cigarettes and lighter were in there. He walked out the door of the apartment and stepped into the hallway. He pressed the button for the elevator, and waited a few moments. It opened, and he found that no one was inside. He stepped in and pressed the button for ground level. He stepped out when the doors slid open, and headed outside. He nodded at the lobby manager as he walked out the door.
He headed north towards the park. He silently pulled out a cigarette and lit it. He brought it to his lips and inhaled, savoring the taste as slowly releasing the smoke. He began to think again. Kaiden had known Noah for most of his life. They had been friends for 16 years. They met in preschool and quickly took to one another. They were very close for a long time, until one special day when they were both 15, when they became much, much closer. I small smile played on Kaiden’s lips as he recalled the event..
It all began one day when the two boys were playing video games. Kaiden had liked Noah for a long time, and they were sitting in Noah’s room. Noah’s parents were gone for the weekend, and he had invited Kaiden over. They were playing one of those games where you have to beat up the oppenent and Kaiden was losing badly. Noah delivered the final blow to Kaiden’s character and had just won. Kaiden, being the sore loser that he is, looked for a way to justify it.
“You cheated!”, Kaiden yelled.
“I did not! I’m just better than you.”, Noah replied with a coy smile.
Kaiden loved when Noah smiled. But of course, he couldn’t let him know that. As far as he knew, Noah was straight. He would never love Kaiden in that way.
“You are not!”, Kaiden argued, playfully shoving him.
“Hey, don’t shove me!”, he smiled and returned the shove.
The two boys began wrestling on the edge of the bed and laughed incessantly. Noah pinned Kaiden to the bed and stared into his eyes. Did he detect a spark? No, it couldn’t be. Noah wasn’t like that. Kaiden wiggled a little, suddenly finding himself umcomfortable underneath Noah. He broke the silence.
“Okay, you win. Are you going to get off of me, or what...?”
With a sudden look of hurt and embarrassment on his face, Noah replied by removing himself from Kaiden. He sat on the end of the bed and looked at the wall. Kaiden came up and sat down next to him.
“What’s the matter?”
“Nothing.”
“C’mon, Noah. We’ve been friends for a while. Do you honestly think I don’t know when you’re lying by now?”
“I’m fine, okay? I said it was nothing”, he snapped.
“Fine..”
Kaiden got up and walked out of the room. He walked downstairs, and sat on the couch. He switched on the TV with the remote and slipped into thoughts of what had happened a few minutes before. Is there a possibility that Noah has feelings for me?, he thought. No, it was probably nothing. It was just two teenagers wrestling harmlessly, right?
Just then he heard footsteps. Noah came up and sat next to him on the couch without saying a word. The silence lasted a few moments before Noah broke it.
“Kaiden, I’m sorry for snapping at you..”
Kaiden just looked the other way. He didn’t think Noah had any reason to snap. He was just trying to help. He didn’t feel like accepting Noah’s apology right now.
“Kaiden, please..”, he said while resting his hand on Kaiden’s shoulder.
Kaiden melted under his touch. Noah always had that affect on him. But right now, he wished that he didn’t.
“Don’t touch me, Noah..”, Kaiden said softly.
Noah retracted his hand. Kaiden almost let out a whimper at the loss of contact. He almost wished he has left Noah keep his hand there.
“I’m sorry too, Noah”, Kaiden said, slowly pulling Noah in for a hug.
He slowly inhaled the smell of Noah’s hair. He always smelled so good. But Kaiden pulled away before the hug could last too long. He didn’t want Noah to get suspicious.
“Noah, I have something to tell you..”, Kaiden said slowly.
“What is it? Are you okay? You know you can tell me anything.”
“I know, Noah. But I’m scared that by telling you this, I might ruin our friendship..”
“That could never happen. I’ll always be here for you. You’re my best friend.”
Kaiden breathed in deeply. Here it goes. The next few minutes could make or break things for him. He didn’t know what he would do if he lost Noah forever, but he couldn’t stand it any longer. He couldn’t handle it when Noah had a girlfriend. He always tried to accept it, but he couldn't. The thought of Noah with anyone but him, let alone a girl, was unbearable.
“Noah.. The truth is.. I’m gay. I have been for a while.. And.. I’ve had feelings for you for a while. I was just too afraid to say anything. I don’t want to lose your friendship, but I can’t sit by while you go through girlfriends.. They’re not right for you, Noah. Can’t you see that? I’m better than them. I’ve always been here for you, and I always will be. I want you..”
Noah just sat there and looked at him in a shocked manner. Kaiden started to worry that he wasn’t going to say anything at all. But finally, he spoke..
“You’re kidding me, right? You’re pulling my leg? That’s a sick joke, Kaiden. I don’t find that funny.”
“It’s not a joke, Noah.. I’m serious.. I’ve had feelings for you for a long time..”
Kaiden closed his eyes and quickly leaned in and kissed him, savoring the taste of his lips. He quickly opened his eyes and pulled away. Had he just done that? What was he thinking?! He couldn’t just kiss him! Did he want to lose all chances he had of keeping Noah’s friendship?! But he knew why he did it. He was hoping that some small part of Noah would like it. That he would realize Kaiden was the one he wanted, and that they were right for each other. But Kaiden knew that the chances of that were slim. He shouldn’t have risked it all like that.
“I’m sorry.. I - - I shouldn’t have done that. I’ll go. I’m sorry.”
He stood up to make his way to the door when Noah’s hand suddenly grabbed his own.
“Kaiden, wait.. “
Kaiden slowly turned around to look at him. Was that a smile on his face?
“Kaiden.. I feel the same way. I always have. I just didn’t know how to say it.”
Was he serious? Was he really saying this? Suddenly, Noah pulled him down on top of him and planted a kiss softly on Kaiden’s lips. Kaiden smiled into the kiss and returned it. Noah slowly ran his tongue along Kaiden’s bottom lip, begging for entrance. Kaiden slowly parted his lips, allowing Noah to slip his tongue between them. Noah began to explore Kaiden’s mouth, running his tongue along the roof of it. Kaiden rubbed his tongue along side of Noah’s as he wrapped his arms around Noah’s neck. I can’t believe this is happening. I haven’t been this happy in a long, long time, he thought.
They parted, panting heavily, both gasping for air. Kaiden lay down as Noah wrapped his arms around him, pulling him close. They laid there like that for a while, just listening to each other breath. Kaiden could here Noah’s heart beat.
“Kaiden, can I ask you a question...?”, Noah asked hesitantly.
“Anything, sweetie.”
“Are we.. You know.. Together now?”
Kaiden smiled. He couldn’t believe how great things were becoming.
“Well, do you want to be?”, Kaiden asked.
“Yes.. More than anything..”
“Then yes, Noah. We are. Because I want it as well.”
Noah smiled at him and pecked him on the lips.
They slowly drifted off to sleep and from then on, they were dating.
Kaiden realized his cigarette was out, and felt a sudden chill. He decided against going to the park, and quickly turned around. Besides, he missed Noah anyways.
