Oh, and Kai went to a new home today. It sounds like an ideal environment for him. He'll even have another Savannah cat as a companion. I'm sad to see him go because I really did care about him, but this will be much better for him. The foster budgies will also be going to a new home shortly, and after that the only foster in the house will be Jezebel. We do intend to adopt her if at all possible, so this will be a nice change. I think that fostering is great, but we have our hands full as it is right now and it's very difficult for me. Holly manages better than I do. My only way of coping is just to not associate with the foster so I don't get attached, which is hardly ideal or helpful for them. I couldn't let myself spend any time with Kai at all after we decided that we couldn't keep him. I didn't even say goodbye. I loved him so much already that I just couldn't have handled it.
