Welcome to the 2005 edition of getting to know your friends. What you are supposed to do is copy (not forward) this entire email and paste it onto a new email that you send. Change all the answers so they apply to you,and then send this to a bunch of friends including the person who sent it to you. The theory is that you will learn a lot of little things about your friends, if you did not know them already.

1. What time did you get up today? 11:17 am
2. Pearls or Diamonds? On a moral level they're both quite awful. An oyster is killed to obtain a pearl and the amount of exploitation going on in diamond mines is terrible. Just based on the material itself I guess I slightly prefer pearls. They have that whole ocean thing going on and they're fun to braid into your hair. Diamonds can be pretty too, but they tend to be overrated. Neither is among my favorite gems.
3. What was the last film you saw? The Wicker Man. It's unbelievably funny, and not just because of Christopher Lee's hair.
4. What is your favorite TV show? I like The Simpsons (older episodes), Futurama, Monty Python's Flying Circus, South Park, and My So-Called Life a lot. Those are the only TV shows I have, but I really can't pick a favorite.
5. What did you have for breakfast? Um. A Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade. It was the only type of carbonated beverage that we had in the house and I woke up with a killer sore throat so I thought it would help.
6. What is your middle name? Sara Finnea
7. What is your favorite cuisine? I tend to lean towards organic unprocessed vegetarian food. I'm not sure if this counts as a "cuisine" though.
8. What foods do you dislike? I dislike a lot of foods, but the ones I hate the most are things like white bread and American cheese. They're not food!
9. What are your favorite potato chips? Probably the Ruffles Sour Cream and Onion ones.
10. What is your favorite CD at the moment? Ocean Songs by Dirty Three
11. What kind of car do you drive? I don't drive and am looking to sell my car. Anyone interested?
12. What is your favorite sandwich? I like hummus, avocado, and cucumber a lot. I think that's my favorite?
13. What characteristics do you despise in people? Dishonesty, bigotry, the tendency to vehemently deny the existence of anything that you do not want to see, abusiveness, the need to control everything, the inability to change... I could go on for a while here but I think I've covered the big ones.
14. Favorite item of clothing? Probably my brown lacy shirt. Or shirts. I liked it so much that I bought two.
15. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? Everywhere.
16. What color is your bathroom? Sort of a dirty white. I guess it's technically called "off-white". I don't like it much.
17. Favorite brand of clothing? I'm not into the whole brand thing. I try to buy as much used as possible, or whatever fits properly, looks nice, and is cheap. (This doesn't end up being much.)
18. Where would you retire to? I don't want to work the kind of job that I would want to retire from or live in the kind of place that I would want to move from. Unfortunately I haven't found a place like this yet, but hopefully someday.
19. Favorite time of day? Anytime is good.

22. Favorite sports to watch? Fish slapping.

25. Coke or Pepsi? I try to avoid both. I'll sometimes drink the diet version of one or the other. I think diet vanilla Pepsi is pretty good.

27. Do you have any pets? Yes, just a few. Right now we live with an african grey, a citron-crested cockatoo, six cats, two guinea pigs, two bearded dragons, a crevice spiny lizard, two crested geckos, and two tanks of fish.
28. Any new and exciting news you want to share? Lots of new and exciting news, but none that I want to share right now.
