Hooray for cameras! And guinea pigs!

So the replacement camera arrived. And it works! I am extremely impressed so far with the pictures it takes. I've only used it on the automatic setting and I still have to try everything else out before I am assured that this one is really truly in perfect working condition, but it does seem to be. I was finally able to take pictures of the newest member of our family, Raven. We brought him home on Saturday. Guinea pigs are much happier with other guinea pigs, and Diné has been alone since he was a baby. So Holly found Raven (formerly named Tux) at a local guinea pig rescue. He seemed like he would get along with Diné as well as with us, and so far that is turning out to be the case. Holly did a post about him a few days ago which talks about his background information and his initial meeting with Diné. Her post is here if you're interested. There still hasn't been any fighting or humping, but they both seem to be getting slightly more territorial.

I didn't want to sit there for a half hour and decide which of the photos I took were the best, so I just posted all 20 of my favorites. Note that these could take until The Rapture to load, as LJ photohosting is verrrryyyy sllowwwwwwww.

Yes, Raven pretty much always looks this terrified. Hopefully this will change once he realizes that we don't plan to eat him (yet), but if not that's ok too. I love how his look of terror increases a thousandfold in the 11th picture when Holly pets him...
