APPEARANCE

BASIC APPEARANCE RUNDOWN:
1. TALL. At least six foot. His ex girlfriend is 5'7" and he looms over her.
2. NOODLE. Seriously. Super slim limbs. Direct your attention to this image.
3. Blue hair and eyes (both faked; dyed hair, colored contacts). Hair is very short and styled.
4. Overdressed for camp. Suits or trendy outfits and way too many accessories.
5. Bling includes, but is not limited to, two piercings in his left ear and one piercing in his right, always worn (here). Usually wearing a big ring and sometimes necklace, watch, or bracelets (here).
Note: Ai Yazawa, and George himself have said that his appearance and such were based loosely on Brian Slade of Velvet Goldmine (here).

CLOTHING

STYLE CHECK POINTS:
1. Suits! Complete with tie, button up and vest. Very clean and put together unless working or relaxing. Double and single breasted. Emphasized collars or stylized lapels.
2. Pattern! Geometric or floral (abstract or otherwise). Especially on hat brims and vests. Sometimes blouses and suits.
3. Accessories! The more, the better. Big, masculine rings. Hats (fedoras, cowboy, etc). Earrings (simple, but multiple piercings). Watches, bracelets, necklaces (chains especially). Glasses (aviators and hipster shades) as well as briefcases and boas, yes feathered boas. Shoes are always pointed, always heeled, always expensive and leather.
4. Style- Retro Dandy from the Glitter Planet. That is to say, he likes classic clothing with retro touches (usually patterns, sometimes silhouettes and cuts), with a little bling to glam it up.
5. Canon tells us that despite being a designer and despite having mad sewing skills since he was six, George actually buys his clothing. Not because he can't make men's well. Just because he wouldn't want to take time away from sewing his dresses. Plus rich kid.
6. In camp, he has outfits 3 4 11 12 13 15 17 19 and 34 (please refer to the list below for images). George is a practical packer, he came to camp knowing he'd be here a while (though he was led to believe this was a special set of summer classes for school), so he packed accordingly. All of the outfits he packed can be mixed and matched easily...plus one crazy outfit for the days he's out of sorts or feeling dramatic.

The break down of his in-camp clothing is:
3 Suits: Striped, white, blue
4 Bottoms: Light jeans, dark jeans, plaid voluminous, white pajama pants
10 Tops: White classic button up, western short sleeve, black and white vest, black t-shirt, black turtleneck, white turtleneck, denim jacket, striped button-up, long sleeved western, crazy feathered coat.
3 Ties: Polka dot, striped, +1 red one Spitfire gave him (here)
4 Hats: White fedora, blue fedora, cowboy hat, newspaper boy
4 Shoes: White leather pointed, black leather pointed, black and white, kneehigh lace up boots
Accessories: Plain belt, blingy belt, 2 rings, watch, 3 earrings, chain bracelet, boa, striped scarf, sunglasses.

He mix and matches these pieces, so he really does have options. If it seems like a lot, keep in mind that this IS George and that he DID know he was coming here and would be staying a while...he just didn't know how long and that it wasn't a workshop on advanced patternmaking.

THE CLOTHES: The Good, The Bad, The WTF
Volume One:
1.Splash outfit one- 1
+Very classic
+Very true to George
+Pattern!!!!
+Plaid vest, black dres shirt, black dress pants and matching plaid hat
+Thoughts- Simple, but I like it

2.First appearance- 1
+Classic and clean
+Abstract floral pattern
+Ascot/cravat/scarf goodness
+Emphasized/extra high collar
+Thoughts- Not my favorite look, but a good balance between some of George's more fanciful outfits and his more practical ones

3.Seduction suit- 1 and 2
+So much pattern (pinstripe + polka dot)
+Very expensive shoes (White, Italian, pointed, small heel)
+Matching hat and vest
+Ring (big, masculine) and pocket rose and earrings (simple)
+Thoughts- Of George's suit-suits, this is one of my favorites. He plays with pattern and isn't afraid to take risks, but it doesn't look like a costume; A dandy, but a fashion forward dandy!

4.Library cowboy look- 1 and 2
+Not a suit!
+Lots of bling, lots of buttons
+High neck collar
+Cowboy hat, western shirt, jeans, expensive shoes, gaudy belt, watch, bracelets, ring and earrings
+Thoughts- My favorite George look. I actually think it's pretty figure flattering. There's a lot of bling and accessories, but it still looks masculine. The details, like the exaggerated sleeces and collar, are fun.

5.Keeping it classic- 1 2 and 3
+Simple, but still dressed up
+High contrast
+Flower in pocket (rose, of course)
+Interesting lapel!
+Thoughts- I like the look a lot better without the jacket. George looks great in suits, but he looks best when he's dressed down a little. His fram is thin and suit jackets tend to swallow him. The jacket is a little too long and the lapel looks a little dated to me. Great without the jacket though. He looks even better without the tie and with his shirt unbuttoned. Damn sexy collarbone.

6.Hipster kid- 1
+Hipster shades, sleeveless turtleneck, white shirt, skinny ass jeans
+Thoughts- WTF is up with the sweater thing? I like him in jeans though. At first I was very confused by this outfit, but it grew on me. Not very representative of his style though. Would be a lot better without the shades.

7.Flounciest cowboy- 1
+Cowboy hat, floral (rose) print shirt with long front scarf detail, belled slacks
+Seventies inspired?
+Roses making another appearance
+Thoughts- Least favorite outfit of volume one by far. The brim on the hat is way too large and the silk shirt is just too much. It's very...dramatic. And George likes the drama, but I think it is a lot of look. Losing the hat or pairing it with slimmer pants or jeans would have been better.

8.Splash outfit two- 1
+Black shirt, rose printed scarf, cute hat
+Thoughts- Simple and I like it. The scarf is okay because it's George and the rest of the outfit is basic enough that it isn't overdone. A good casual outfit for him.

9.Host club- 1
+Crazy patterned blouse, open jackt, matching pants.
+Thoughts- Ehhhhh.... I'd like it better if the shirt were a different pattern, but the pattern is the point I guess. Not a fav.

Volume Two:
10.Casual romantic- 1
+Pleats!!!
+Lots of buttons
+Collar bone!!!!
+Not a lot of contrast
+Thoughts- Whimsical while still being clean and casual. Has a romantic edge and overall a much softer look for him. No pattern, no coat, no hat....not very representative, but very nice! I like the press of the pants as well as the blouse, the blouse is the whole point of the outfit. Buttons, pleats and lightly billowed sleeves. Love it.

11.Parisian dandy- 1 and 2
+Ascot/craft/scarf goodness
+Contrast and pattern
+Lots of black and white
+Thoughts- One of my favs, for sure. Very figure flattering and still dressy without being a whole three piece suit. Though when he adds the white jacket it still looks good. The vest and shoes are great and the scarf actually isn't too much! Very harmonious and slightly Parisian in influence.

12.Pajamas!!!- 1
+Surprisingly simple and comfortable
+Basic top and contrasting sleep pants
+Cute widdle slippers
+Thoughts- Pleasantly surprised it's not patterned all over

13.American denim- 1 2 and 3
+Jean jacket, jeans and a simple black shirt
+Very clean, sharp lines, great fit
+Thoughts- Love it. I love it when George does something clean and classic and he looks great in denim. The jean jacket really works with him, especially since he didn't overdo it on the accessories. The sunglasses really work here, even if it is night time. At least he didn't bedazzle the jacket.

14.Boating outfit- 1 2 and 3
+Light jacket and pants, darker shirt, low contrast....scarf?
+Long sleeved version of the shirt from trendy cowboy outfit?
+Cuuuute hat
+Thoughts- I don't really like it without the jacket and hat. It's kind of like he tossed in everything but the kitchen sink? Too many themes that don't quite mesh. It looks like the day before he did his laundry and these pieces were the only things clean to wear. The second he puts the hat and jacket on though, I get it!

15.Real turtleneck look- 1 and 2
+Nice pants, cute back pockets
+Turtleneck looks good
+Classic, clean pressed look
+Thoughts-I like it! Clean, casual, but still classy.

16.Splash outfit three- 1
+Oh god, too much fur, fabric, patterns and layers. My brain cannot comprehend. It looks good on him though. LOVE THE SHOES.

Volume Three:
17.Nothing suits him like a suit- 1 and 2
+Classic suit, clean lines, two widths of stripe.
+My favorite of the suit-suits, hands down. I like the visual interest of the two types of stripes. Also, he looks better in darker colors.

18.Honey I'm home- 1 and 2
+Strange hat
+Cardigan and skinny tie, with a pttern to them
+Looking a little like hipster retro Mr. Rodgers
+Thoughts- Don't hate me, I like it. It's not so bad without the silly hat. But I find his love of silly hats charming.

19.Simple and I like it- 1
+SUPER CRISP
+The shirt is fun
+Thoughts- Him and those blingy buttons and cufflinks he has on like...every outfit. I bet he replaces the buttons on all the clothes he buys so they're all the square jeweled one.

20.Splash outfit four- 1
+Stupid feather
+He looks like a pimp or a flamboyant mobster
+Actually, I think that was the idea. Flaboyant mobster pimp
+Thoughts- Way too many rings, but I would like it if it weren't for the hat.

Volume Four:
21.My mother is a drunken whore- 1 and 2
+LOVE THE SCARF
+Sexy sexy collar bone time
+The jacket is awesome
+Thoughts- Same outfit as 'simple and I like it' just with a jacket and scarf, but I like it so much with the jacket and that scarf. Plus he's dressed it down by undoing the first few buttons and it really changes the look.

22.George you are your father- 1
+Patterned jacket!
+Perfect fit.
+Thoughts- He basically wore this outfit to aggravate his mother, but damn I like it.

23.Splash outfit five- 1
+Great jacket, star pin
+Thoughts-...I like it when he does the cowboy thing, but in a more simplified way. Jeans or a different scarf would have made it better. Too busy in a small area with the pleated shirt and patterned scarf.

24.The boaaaaaaaaa- 1
+Great suit, super slim, great lines
+Looking good keeping it simple without a tie or vest
+Amazing lapel shape
+Giant fluffy black boa
+Thoughts- Okay, now this is my all time favorite George look. The boa is fun and him and it works because the rest of the outfit is super clean and simple.

25.Splash outfit six- 1
+...moving on then orz

26.Gay Magician- 1 and 2
+New type of earring!
+...so much bling
+Thoughts- To be fair, he wore this for the day of the runway show to match the dress he made for Yukari. And it does look good on him, even if it is way over the top.

27.Kid had style- 1
+He dressed himself as a kid
+He already had a taste for vintage style and hats that are way too big for him
+Was already altering/modifying his appearance by this point

28.Hipster kid- 1
+Looking a little like mr. rogers again with the sweater there
+Amazing matching shoes
+Thoughts, despite looking like a hipster kid mr.rogers cowboy, I reallllly like this one. I think he looks good in sweaters and cardigans and its a nice break from the constant suits.

Volume Five:
29.He has entered the matrix-1 and 2
+Nice jacket
+Turtleneck appears again...as do shades at night
+Thoughts- I like the jacket, but the turtleneck and sunglasses with it is kind of a harsh look for him. Not terrible, just not a favorite. The sweater and pants by themself look nice. And I would like the jacket with something else, but all together? Too harsh.

30.The man wore white- 1
+Another suit
+Lots of visually interesting layering in front
+Thoughts- George loves suits and this one is particularly nice.

31.Casual Friday at the studio- 1
+Super casual comfortable outfit
+Worn on days where he's super busy/working
+Worn the day of a modeling job, something that would be easy to change out of and comfortabl to get hair and make up done in.
+Not the sort of thing he'd wear out, but it works good for stayin inside and sketching one hundred dresses
+Proof that he does, in fact, own sneakers
+Thoughts- He doesn't particularly like sneakers, but they do have their uses sometimes. If he has to be casual comfortable though, he still likes to look perfectly put together and purposeful.

32.He's a model- 1
+Worn for a men's style magazine photo shoot
+Bangs are styled off his face for once
+Thoughts- Nothing suits him like a suit

33.Christmas suit- 1
+Super vintage inspired, super fun
+Pocket square
+Super interesting contrasting lapel
+Thoughts- I like that he went with the black hat. The white is well broken up. I think it is a fancier suit that is proper for a Christmas party.

34.Big bird....- 1
+What the shit is that coat
+The more I live with it, the more I like it though. He was feeling down in the dumps that day and his style takes a hit when his mood does, so I'll forgive it.
+Especially since the rest of the outfit is adorable
+Shut up, I think the boots and pants are great.
+Thoughts- He has a really cute happy smile for once while wearing this outfit and I always associate the outfit with that smile so I end up being fond of even the silly coat. Actually he's just all kinds of cute and sulky in this scene.

35.Style cowboy- 1 2 and 3
+Love the scarf and sweater combo
+The patterned jacket is a nice touch
+The hat works because of the scarf and jewelry
+Thoughts- The fashion cowboy looks are my favorite looks

36.Boa look 2- 1 and 2
+Love the aviators instead of the hipster shades
+Great shirt, love the four large front pockets
+Simple and easy to wear
+Is that leather?
+Thoughts- Looking very cool, very young, very runway and classic wear

37.New years kimono- 1 and 2
+Leave it to George to add a fedora and scarf to such a classic outfit
+Looks good, and he made it his own, but I still like him better in suits
+Thoughts- It's festive and occassion appropriate, but still him. I like it. I think it helps him not look so lanky too, which is nice sometimes.

38.Farewell suit- 1 and 2
+A themed outfit, since he's moving to Paris
+Contrasting lapels and pocket piece
+The scarf works here
+Thoughts- The matrix coat makes a reappearance and this time it works for him. The hat scarf and jacket make for a very dramatic look properly fitting of a farewell. He enjoys watching classic old black and white romances, and it's obvious here he used them as inspiration.

Five volumes, 38 looks

MANNERISMS

HABITS:
1. Personal space invasion- He likes to fluster people. The bigger the reaction, the more entertained he is. That's why he loves tsunderes so much. Draping, touching, leaning in too close, etc.
2. Keeps his hands busy- Usually either in his pockets, holding on to something, fixing his tie, fiddling with his ring, talking with them, etc. More often than not his fingers wind up near his mouth.
3. Quotes movies and breaks the fourth wall, does this count? IDK but it's going here.
4. Tugging his hat over his face- This one is solely reserved for when he is feeling something unpleasant and can't change his expression to hide it.

BODY LANGUAGE:
1. Expressions are a lie- Sometimes on purpose, sometimes unintentionally. Most smiles are fake. His genuine smiles are actually hysterical laughter, etc.
2. Has an ease about him and moves very fluidly. Smooooth.

CAMP APPEARANCES
RESIDENCE:
1. Lives at: The studio. A small space with the necessities; a bedroom, living room and work room (one room split in half), and a smaaaall kitchen area and half bathroom. Very tidy and full of dresses and dress making supplies. Decorated in the same retro inspired style as George dresses. The front of the studio has a rose garden, the back has a vegetable garden.
2. Lives with: Yuki Sohma. Is dating Yuki, they share a bed and other living spaces. Yuki is one of the few allowed to touch things in the work room without permission. Usually if they are both home, they are both in the same area, even if they are just silently working on something separate.

FAVORITE SPOTS:
1. The clothing tent/shop that Nana left him. Is currently moving completed dresses there to make room in his work space.
2. Messhall rooftop- Enjoys sketching and napping up there.

4. Around other people- Bugging people is a favorite way to pass the time afterall. Strangers or friends. That said, enjoys dropping in unannounced at friends' places.
5. Library- Enjoys reading and researching for inspiration and for relaxation.
6. The studio- Sewing or watching classic movies.
