Today I went to church. Which was nice. It's always nice to be awake and dressed and attending a Sunday service. I've been pretty good about morning services pretty much all year; I think I missed most of April but I was recovering from sleep deprivation.
Then I went to the Temple Beth Abraham for my last performance of the Holocaust. It was so sad and moving and possibly inspiring to dance for an all-Jewish audience, in a Jewish temple, for the Israeli independence day. If I had to have a last performance, I'm glad it was there. The audience was amazing. I think we really touched them, and they really touched us. Sometimes I would just catch someone's eyes, someone in the audience... everyone was crying.
I was crying.
My dad missed it. He "got caught up" and then "wasn't sure where the temple was."
I see.
Then my mom took me shopping with my little sister, so I called work and told them that I'm so sorry but not coming in if that's alright with you.
My sister could eat me.
She's six years younger then me! She's also taller then I am and wears clothes at least 6 sizes bigger then me.
Maybe there's some sort of surfacing sibling rivalry when you realize your pre-teenage little sister could take you out in 30 seconds.
