So Steffen and Katje are here. I really like Katje; she's very pretty and shy and sweet. My whole family and the two of them and I just schmucked around the house today. I worked on my online courses for an interminable amount of time - it sucked.
Embarrassing moment of the day: I was on my laptop here working and I had my mp3 playlist going; Steffen and Katje were in the room sitting on a sofa and talking. All the sudden my playlist switches to "Buck Dich" by Rammstein... You don't want to let most German people know you listen to Rammstein. Trust me. Cause their lyrics translate into such lines as "rape your daughter". I was trying like the DEVIL to switch the song before the guy started singing, but I ended up botching it and minimizing the playlist so that I couldn't turn it off... So the two of them started started conversing in rapid German, and then Steffen asked me (all shocked of course), "Brrooch, you lizen to Rammstein?!" I just told him that it was something that Brad told me to download back when I was with him, which is actually true. So yeah... But holy hell, I was so embarrassed.
I'm looking to buy myself a scanner I think. It was a toss-up between a digital camera and a scanner, but I'm very anti-digital, so I'm motivating myself to get back into photography (using my nice manual Ricoh from the early 80's) by getting myself a scanner so I can start posting my photography and maybe some other artwork on deviantart.com. I'm thinking about also doing some self-portrait photography, which sounds impossible, I know, but you can use a tripod and a timer or a remote to do that. I'm such a control freak that this is probably the best way for me to work with the use of a model. I was looking at some of Yelena Yemchuk's self-portraits last night, and they're so inspiring.
Other notes of the day: I've been downloading like the devil the past few days. Conquests: Got some interesting Scandinavian music. I got the video for that song by The Darkness I was talking about, so I can giggle like a little school girl whenever I want. Also got some Switchfoot, Weezer, and MUSE. I think my next project is gonna be to get the video for "The Perfect Drug" by NIN, cause that video is heaven... well, a very dark, gloomy heaven... but you know. I hate downloading videos though. It takes like 8 hours or something ridiculous. Fuck dial-up up the arse.
