A funeral date is set...
It looks like we finally have a date for Jim's funeral. Suddenly, I'm forgetting the exact day, but it's in May and is right in the middle of finals. Poor Alexander, his dad dies during one set of finals, and then he has the funeral during the second set. Fortunately, he only has 2 exams this semester, so he will most likely be able to get his last one (which is scheduled for the same day as the funeral) bumped up several days so he can be done early and focus on the funeral and not worrying about studying. I have an exam the day after the funeral. The funeral is on a Tuesday in Arlington, VA, and my last exam is that Wednesday. I'm going to try to see if I can take it a day late or a couple of days early. Otherwise, I will have to go to the funeral, take a red eye home and take an exam the next day. Which, honestly, I don't mind. But I would rather not leave Alexander so quickly.
