I've read all three books in the Dexter series, and in my opinion this is the worst one. I just didn't like the *new* characters or the character development between Deb and Dexter (I love the Doakes/Dexter relationship though). The Harry scenes definitely saved the book for me. I'd re-read it again for the Harry scenes, but not for the rest of it. However, in the end, I'm glad I read it because I like the series (tv show and books). I just didn't like this one in comparison to the others.
