Almost There
by now most everybody knows that RJ is putting up a new station -- from scratch. it's called RJ Underground Radio and the frequency is 105.9. we've started test broadcasting, but none of the DJs have gone on board, cos we're still training. we're gonna be playing lots of classic rock (think velvet underground, smiths, vines, doors, beta band), modern rock (anything from the 90s to now) and pinoy rock! we want lots and lots of pinoy rock. hopefully lots of classic pinoy rock! in fact, give me copies of your collection, and i'll give you a backrub!
now when i say we started from scratch, i mean we started from SCRATCH. we're just blessed because walking around the building and randomly dropping by at the office are even more legends of radio and rakenrol. we get a lot of great tips and tricks from the ones who started it all. but that also means that we've got to be on our toes every single day (in other words, pressure). and the way sir RJ works, we've got to be on our toenails.
haha it's quite exciting, really. i love my new radio friends (yes, in two weeks i can say that we have all reached the sabaw level of friends), i love the environment, i love the vintage everything!
in fact, i woke up today and the first words that entered my head were
"my life is about to get very, very exciting".
i'm working as DJ slash events associate. which means you guys will never see me anymore! hahahaha ah yes.

i absolutely positively love it. it's the title of this song written by one of my most favorite rock icons of all time -- PJ Harvey. she wrote it as a a tribute to Jeff Buckley, one of her partners closest to her heart, who drowned in Memphis.
it's such a beautiful sad song and i've had it for a long time, but kaity re-sent it to me and it just hit me. shazzam! true love it is. (bebot! the others said that Rhiannon sounds like Rhianna. or whatever her spelling is. haha!)
