What? Hetalia? But I was always like this :o

So I was in the local Pathmark on Friday with the intent to purchase my usual breakfasty things when I noticed a very very special ingredient being offered for sale: a two-pound frozen and cleaned octopus. And it was on sale. So I grabbed it. Gleefully.

Now, say what you want about my obsession with Hetalia: for the first time ever, it's causing me to voluntarily take a history class in less than a month's time; for a time over the summer it turned me into Anonymous; it got me on 4chan... Say what you will, but I was into international cuisine waaaaay before I ever heard the name Himaruya Hidekaz.

Granted, without Hetalia, I might have gone straight down the Japanese cuisine route and never looked back, but regardless... Octopus is pretty special. I'd never cooked with it before, but I love it to death, so I wanted to try it. A quick search on the internet found me this recipe YES it's Southern Italian, I know, I know XD, and I'm so damned glad it did *A* Here's what mine came out to look like:



I added onions and mushrooms since I had 'em, but had to sub dried parsley for the fresh stuff, since ACME's parsley looked like shit.

Next time: less honey, less chili.

Otherwise, AMAZING *A* A++ would do it again.
