Yeah. Week's been pretty busy. This is when Tara tries to remember things that happened over the past five days. Nothing will be in any sort of order. I promise x.x
Tonight's service affected me significantly more than all others in my lifetime, save two (Bat Mitzvah and Confirmation). Maybe it was because of significant Lack of Dirai, and maybe it was due to the current overwhelming presence of Christina in my head, and maybe it's the different way things were ran tonight, and maybe it's some other thing I haven't figured out yet. In any case I was almost moved to tears tonight and I can't exactly say why. The service was dedicated to the Israel trip participants, as well as community service participants and the three B'Nai Mitzvahs for tomorrow morning. It was held in a dim setting, as a change. The songs sang struck me in significant ways. I don't know... I don't know what exactly happened. But that "change" that is supposed to happen in us when we are in Israel...? It feels like it's already begun in me.
Speaking of Israel, we're leaving for the airport from M'Kor at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, April 6. I don't know if anyone's busy, but I'd like to see you guys before I leave. I don't know if it's even possible for ME, but let me know in case it is if you wanna work something out...even for just an hour or so. I would really like that.
And now on a pretty much unrelated note, we got our new choir substitute today, and he is Very Awesome. I wish I could remember his name x.x It starts with a B and is Italian (!), and the guy used to work at Berlin Elementary until he moved to Tennessee for 4 years to write music (!!!) and go on tour, then moved back to NJ and taught junior high for a year, hated it, and came back to our school district, and here he is. And he is very awesome. I know it sounds weird, but I love the way he plays the piano. He gives it this...airy feeling. Light. Hopeful. I don't know. Maybe it's just the relief of having a real teacher back. I walked into my next class with a smile on my face for the first time in months.
...back to Israel-related things, of sorts. I made fried rice for the pot-luck dinner the synagogue hosted tonight for the trippers, and while making it I managed to splatter hot oil on my right arm and gave myself a first degree burn X_X But, as I am certified in First Aid (there is no way I didn't pass that test x.x), I washed the burn with soap and water and ran it under cold water, and it still hurts but all will be well. I would say it'd be a story for Mrs. Bolger on Monday, but her mother died ( ;_; ) so I don't know when the next time will be that I see her.
PotO pictures will be up on TA soon. Oh, and I will hopefully be getting a massive Big Memory Card of 128-MB-Doom so memory cardage will no longer be a problem. w00t.
Got a college letter. First in a while. Also happened to be from Colgate *grins at Umaa-sama!* Not...that she reads this, probably, anyway X_X
Mmm. And I think it's funny that I taught myself three algebra sections in one day. *laughs* I learn more in CP Algebra than I do in Honours. Ridiculous.
Liz brought back my candlestick! Clarification: Liz and I chaperoned at her little sister's GS trip at All Fired Up!, where I made a candlestick for Sessions. Got it back today and it looks AWESOOOME despite....random dots of blue paint that got on there somehow >_< Ignore them. I'll take a picture of that too, soon, hopefully...
S'All I can think of for now. Will edit if I remember something else.
