"Living is easy with eyes closed" actually has a double meaning to me. It's a Beatles quote from Strawberry Fields. I always knew that I wanted some sort of Beatles lyrics because I have loved the Beatles since I was a baby pretty much. My dad loves them too, so when I would see him on the weekends we would always listen to them. He would put on a song and quiz me on the name of the song, and who was singing it. There is even a video of me when I was like five years old dancing to She Loves You in front of the Christmas tree. I was even wearing a top hat, and I had a cane, haha. My dad and I always go to Beatles tribute bands concerts together. It's like our thing, you know?
As for why I chose that particular lyric, well, I love Strawberry Fields. And "Living is easy with eyes closed" just makes a lot of sense to me. If you're not aware of whats going on around you, and turn your head the other way when it comes to things (like global warming, poverty, our corrupt government) then of course life is going to be simple, because you're not aware of all the suffering and problems in our world. However, if you are aware of these issues, and try to do something about them, then you are fighting the good fight, and of course things are going to be a little more complicated.
As for my "scene" anchor tat, well, I got that when I was 16. That's 6 years ago (haha wow I feel old) and I definitely didn't know what the scene was. Once again, I got it for my dad, who was in the navy. I just wanted something feminine. As you can probably tell, I adore my dad.
And I am so glad that there are other people who hate Twilight! I can't believe such mindless drivel has started a big fad. Actually, I can, because that's people for you! Haha.
