Make up a title for a story I didn't write, and I will respond with details of those non-written stories. You may if you like include details, such as pairings or fandom or whatnot.

:D? Please? I might really write them, which would mean I wrote things.

"No one remembers me, do they?"

Erimem had accepted that she would remove herself from history when she went with the Doctor, but it's been bothering her that none of her achievements, none of her struggle, will be known by anyone.

The Doctor doesn't lie, doesn't cushion the truth, because he knows that doesn't work with her, and respects her more than that anyway. He does tell her that there are so, so many heroes history has forgotten or reduced; there are so many stories neglected and obfuscated and corrupted.

He tells her that it even happens in his own world. He tells her about Omega.

In the end, he says, it doesn't matter what people read in the history books, because it's never the whole truth, or even a bit of it. What matters is that you know you made a difference, and she did. No one may know her name, but Egypt itself will always bear her mark.

well we are talking about Omega thecricketer May 20 2009, 18:29:51 UTC
:D Five is good at being reassuring without sugar-coating, if he really tries, and Erimem makes him really try.

I might really write this one. :D I need to write more with Erimem in.

only that Omega is the Bitch of Rassilon thecricketer May 20 2009, 18:39:00 UTC
I don't think the Doctor ever appreciated it, way back to Theta, so he tries to avoid it unless he knows it would be best? And for Erimem, well, no, it wouldn't. Erimem doesn't know what sugar-coating is.

and you just mocked MY puns thecricketer May 20 2009, 18:46:40 UTC
Oh, that scene. It is one of the reasons I do not just dismiss Kingmaker as crack. (It's an AU history, obvs, Five just didn't mention it. > >) I really loved that the addressed that - that Erimem and Peri come from very different cultures, and sometimes Peri just expects Erimem to forget her own, when it's just as valid.

Of course, sometimes the audios forget just where she came from, which is annoying. Or more, frequently, that she's an atheist, or at least agnostic.

I think Peri bitchslapped Freud once. You know. In my head. thecricketer May 20 2009, 19:06:10 UTC
Yeeah. It's awesome but it does BAD BAD THINGS to history. On the other hand, Peri and Erimem alone together for two years...

Heee. SEE, THEY NOTICE TOO. And some audios might as well have never happened, for all their effect on the characters. (Hi, Nekromanteia. You didn't happen.)

This is why I should be allowed to write canon. thecricketer May 20 2009, 19:13:06 UTC
Clearly it should have focused more on that.

ANTRANAK IS PERFECTLY FINE, DAMMIT.

(Of course now Five is all "I was vivisected and you're upset about the blasted cat?" Shut up, Five, YOU GOT BETTER.)

Five, of course, just stood back with the faintest smile on his face... thecricketer May 21 2009, 02:50:17 UTC
That is a wonderful point. ...Well, hop to it, fandom.

HE'S STILL IN THE TARDIS SOMEWHERE. OR PERHAPS HE MET A NICE LADY CAT ON ANOTHER PLANET.

(Five resents your implications. Also, that cat was a menace. He still felt bad. Or would, if it had happened, which it didn't.)
