Anonymous gift

If you could give a secret gift of any value to one anonymous recipient, who would you choose and what would you give them?

First of all if given this chance I would do anything I could to break the rules. I would pick a gift for BOTH my nephew and niece instead of just one or the other. However, since we can only pick one person and my nephew is old enough to understand...I'm going to go with giving an anonymous gift to my nephew.

I'm not trying to brag about my family. Well...maybe I am, just a little. Alright, here are the facts: I was born to a family of geniuses. Everyone in my immediate family is smarter then me. That's not me putting myself down either because I think I'm pretty intelligent. However, my intelligence partly comes from my family constantly handing down THEIR knowledge and experience. My niece and nephew were blessed with their genius as well. I've learned A LOT from both. They are both going to be the smartest of all my family members.

My nephew and I share a love for marine animals. I used to know a lot more about the creatures of the blue waters. My nephew is re-teaching me all I knew and more. He reads bigger and nerdier books on the subject then I ever have(and he's only 9!). Unlike him though, I've had my experiences. I've gone whale watching and helped in an aquarium in San Francisco. My anonymous gift for him, therefore, would be for him to fly to California and go on a whale watching trip with an actual marine biologist. This would give him a chance to see what it's like in a different part of the world, outside of the Virginia shelter. It would also come with the brilliant, beautiful experience that comes with catching glimpses of these amazing creatures. This would push the kid to use his mind to pursue his dream. We both have had the same dream, however, the difference is he has the genius of an up and coming biologist, and that's never where my intellect was. I could never get past Cs in high school or college in biology(and I'm an A student). I didn't get it. He does. I don't need him to know who it's from. In fact, its better he not know...it would mean more to him just to know someone, somewhere, is thinking about him. :) I would hope this would push him to live a dream he's been passionate about since he started to read and write. I want him to know he can do anything he dreams of, that's what spending time with a successful marine biologist would give him.

Anyhoo-so who would you give something to anonymously?
