its been months since i made a real post. It's certainly not that I've been bored...really it's the opposite. I guess I just feel the need to post less and less. Oh well. Let's catch up.
The New Rhetoric: My band. It's fun...we've been writing and have ten songs now. We played three shows so far, two of which have been pretty shady, but I guess thats just how it goes. We are recording wednesday thursday and friday this week, but I have no clue when we are going to be getting the recording to sell. I suppose I will make another post when that happens. It's fun to be in a band; I get something out of it that I never got out of anything else before. It feels good to have something to work on twice a week, and it never really gets old. I guess there will be a point in my life where I start thinking our music is lamentably terrible, but for now I think its fun to play, and thats all that matters.
Summer: I really hoped this summer would be the best one I ever had, and for once, my hopes came true. It's been really good...there hasn't been a day that I haven't done something, and that's a really good feeling for me. I've been with friends at least three or four days a week, and I've been able to work every time I'm not hanging out, so it's really rad. I cannot complain one bit.
Janine!: My lover. I've spent most of the summer thusfar with her, and it has been really cool. She's funny and sappy and has cute glasses and likes movies a little too much. She's leaving to go to school in philly at the end of the summer, so I guess we are kind of unsure about what is going to happen then, but for now, everything is great. We sat at the beach and made fun of the fourth of july last night, and I never had so much fun just kinda doing nothing. It's so nice to have someone to spend time with and to make mixcds for and to do all those lame boyfriend/girlfriend things with. I like it lots.
blah. this post is real boring. I'm supposed to be depressing and cynical, not happy and boring. oh well. I'm gonna try to keep this thing updated from now on.
