So I've begun drafting, and redrafting...and redrafting....
but enough on that. I've got my swatch ready for how!
So here are the layers from top to bottom
-1st layer is dark emerald green silk tafetta
-2nd layer is the front part of the cotton twill shell, navy blue
-3rd layer is the back part to the cotton twill shell
-4th layer is a plain black quilting cotton.
layers 1 and 2 were fused together to make one layer via wonder under, and the same with 3 and 4.
So the first thing I noticed...was that it was thick, which doesn't bother me a denim needles are a girls best friend. However I've noticed that my silk pins no longer puncture the fabric without leaving BIG GAPING poke holes that are horrible. I've been advice such as office clips and many other things, I'm gonna experiment on it and see where it goes. I'm still having issues about things later one, but I'll come back to those when they occur.
This is a little short because I'm finishing my semester, but I shall begin more updates now that I will have my nights to work and my days to sleep. WOOHOO!
And for those of you who may care, it is my Birthday today. I have reached the ripe old age of 22. *ducks from incoming pots and pans*
