my friend mandy lived RIGHT behind there on ellis for almost two years now and i would always comment on what a sad state it's always been in. and when i used to work at borders in brea, a bunch of coworkers of mine would always talk about it and how they used to go there all the time when it was open and how great it was.

and coincidentally, the one by the glass house next to jen's loft closed down not too long ago (at least, i don't think it was)...didn't it used to be a small chain? i swear i've seen more of them.

Gee, how old are your co-workers, my age? They must be around there since The Fox closed in 1987.

I don't think it's a chain though, but the designers and builders are also famous for Grauman's Egyptian Theatre, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the Hollywood Athletic Club, and the Cafe' Montmarte.

By the way, does this mean that you're in? Fair warning, anyone that replies to this is automatically "in". Got it?

If I wasn't so poor right now, I'd donate. Maybe in a few weeks I'll get some money :(

Oh Chris Clark, the thought was appreciated nevertheless. Come down to sunny Cali soon. How are record sales?

OH NO!

You thought I was Warp Record's Chris Clark.

I'm music journalist/PR, Chris Clark.

I'm guessing (Warp Rec) Chris Clark isn't doing so well right now but better than he was before he signed with WarpRed. Dj Dangermouse's "Grey Album" is getting so much media attention, most dj's right now are basically out of the publicity loop. Added to the fact, Chris Clark isn't touring, his album wasn't nearly advertised, and the fact "Empty the Bones in You" wasn't that ground-breaking could suffice in his financial problems - but he's doing better than me, so I'm sure he's not complaining.

Well actually no, that's not what I thought at all. I clicked on the link Hush Reality and I assumed it was the site for your music? Eh. Eh? Music journalist/PR is equally cool.

And yes, Grey Album is the epitome of bad publicity begetting good publicity. The tracks that I've listened to are cool though.
