Can't believe I'm coming home from US on Sunday. The last five weeks has flown. I've had a great time, made loads of friends here at Google, and am really looking forward to returning in January, for the ski trip to Napas.:-). My manager has arranged for it, that I come out for these 2 weeks, talk about sound or what. She's really nice, very professional but nice at the same time. On the home front, looking forward to meeting some of you in Dublin, during Gaelcon weekend, hoping we can go for Drinkies, at some stage during the week, or weekend, for those of you coming from Cork. The credit card has taken a bit of a battering, feeling a little shy, and will need to be persuaded to come out again in Dublin, after all the cheapness of the outlet centres here in the states. Shame we don't have the same bargins in Ireland, apart from Rathdowney, but that's usually the season behind. The stuff in the states is actually this seasons' which I was really impressed with.
On the job front, that is actually starting to get really interesting, and officialy from mid-november onwards, I am going to be looking after all our European Vendors, from networks- scaling to payment verification. This will be cool from the networking front, cause I will get to work with some really senior people on the Team, which I am really excited about. My first project is going to be designing and installing some equipment in Hungary, which means a trip to Budapest, some time in the Spring. Can't wait my first offical Google Project.
I have decided to join the San Avote, clarion Hotel gym, in the IFSC, it's kind of expensive 800EUR for the year, but the bod is gone badly out of shape, lots of new wobbles, from the american portions, so I am looking forward to being skinnier and thinner again, hopefully by next summer:-), Got a few weddings coming up, so it'll be right in the nick of time, and no not mine:-),
Okay so no more ranting, will see you all soon, and I promise I won't rant too much about anything. Hope everyone is keeping well, where ever ye all are.
