Five things I am grateful for:
1. I'm not addicted to substances
2. The ability to attend classes
3. My volunteer job
4. My family and friends
5. My home

Five things I did well today:
1. I texted Andy about working at the art store
2. I took a walk
3. I spoke up for what I wanted and was able to get out of town for a couple hours
4. I wrote
5. I didn't go over my calorie limit

Today I'm still struggling with nerves that go along with being afraid I'm going to have another panic attack. I listened to an interesting show on npr about staying in the present and that's the kind of thing I hear about all the time. Mindfulness. Staying in the present. Meditation. It's good stuff - it just doesn't work very fast.
