Half of our grades come from collecting souls on extra curricular missions, so they have to teach us to fight.

It's not really the same as killing normal people, though, since the targets are so warped from their bad habits that they don't usually look all that human anyway.

If you take the souls of good people, it corrupts you because you're killing the innocent. If you keep taking those souls, you start to turn into a demon god. You're powerful, but corrupted. What we do is stop people from turning into demon gods in the first place. Once somebody turns into one, it's hard to stop them.
