HP rant

So...I think I am the only person in the world that absolutely hated the newest HP movie. Now for my rant about it. After the great directing of the third film by Alfonso Cauron this one just doesn't even begin to compare. The directing was very generic. It was like they said lets take the directing of the first two movies and the "treatment of the story" of the third and make a movie. I hated the way they pasted the story together with stupid dialog. They took all the best parts of the book and put them into one cinematic disaster with horrible connecting dialog. I hated the dragon scene. My problem with the last movie hasn't been the changing of various scenes to accomodate time but the treatment of the story itself. In the fourth book Harry is faced with one of the worst dragons ever (this seems to be his luck) he makes pretty short work of this dragon. In the movie they chose to make the dragon harder to beat. They took the battle out of the stadium just to put Harry in a compromising situation. This was just too obvious for me and way too predictable with the "Hollywoodizing" they have been doing with these movies. The ending I also had a problem with. Now it didn't end extremely happy but it did end somewhat happy. I mean I felt no doom at the end. It wasn't dark enough. The point of this book was a transition in to more "adult" material. It was the first time someone was killed for goodness sakes. The ending left a feeling that ,even though what people have feared for years has just happened, everything will be fine in the end. NOOOOOOO!!!!! Nothing is happy for at least the next two books. None of the following books have had happy endings. I am trying really hard not to compare the movies to the books. So looking at it as just a movie the ending didn't feel right. The feeling I got at the end was not at all what I felt like I should be feeling. The only two scenes worth anything in this movie and were "film like" moments was the underwater scene and the grave yard scene. I thought Voldemort was perfect.
