Thematic Option: Check.
In 2.5 hours, I will have officially completed every last requirement of the Thematic Option program. My final paper for CORE 104, the 27th T.O. paper I have written, was completed earlier this morning, at approximately 4:45 am. There is no further final in my CORE 104 class. Once I turn in this paper, I'm completely done with T.O. forever.
But my excitement isn't just about finishing T.O... There is a very real possibility that the paper/project I completed last night will be the LAST HUMANITIES / SOCIAL SCIENCES PAPER I EVER HAVE TO WRITE. Unless I have an unexpected and sudden change of heart, the rest of my classes at USC will be in the departments of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and possibly a department or two in the Engineering school. Lab writeups won't be disappearing any time soon, but my days of analytical and/or persuasive writing in the humanities are likely over.
