Hi.
Things are going well. I went to Amoeba in Hollywood with Genette this labor day to grab a few CDs, including the Jem album (which I needed for a class), an old Journey album, and the most recent Breaking Benjamin album. I also got two rare Claude Bolling LPs (Picnic Suite and Concerto for Classical Guitar and Jazz Piano Trio). The entire batch of recordings cost me less than $30. Gotta love Amoeba.
I just finished recording my version of Jem's They onto my keyboard; it's for a skit we have to do in my last TO class. At least I get to use the musical skills for something. I think the recording is one of the better copies I've done in recent times. Playback on the keyboard could probably be mistaken for the original. Well, minus the lyrics. Woot.
Why did I say yes to the ChemClub VP offer? Struggling not only to keep the program alive, but to expand it, is not what I had in mind for my free time this semester. I should get my act together for SI, too; I'm starting to fall prey to the veteran slump (i.e. "I've already SIed for this course before, no big deal").
On the plus side, I'm looking forward to really getting going on my research. I'm getting relatively comfortable with the necessary software and so forth. Should be fun.
Um I guess that's all for now.
