One minute Daphne was walking right beside him, and then after the alarm went off, she was gone. Of course Mohinder couldn't keep up with her, so he arrived late, but still just in the nick of time to hop into the back of the car after her. He was not amused at her disappearing act.

He leaned up from the back seat and touched her shoulder. "And what do you think you are doing? You could get hurt. Get out of this car this instant. Do not make me drag you out and carry you over my shoulder. I'll do it." He didn't mean to blurt all that out, but it was now his job to watch over her. And he took his job very seriously. After realizing what he just said, he cleared his throat.

For a moment, he had forgotten all about Agent K. But now that he had snapped out of mother hen mode for the moment, he slowly looked over at the older man nervously. This guy looked like serious business. "Oh. Hello there." Daphne didn't appear like she was going to budge, so Mohinder was going to have to go along for the ride. "I suppose I will be joining you on this mission if that is alright. I'm Mohinder Suresh. I've read your files and it is a pleasure to finally meet you, sir." With a smile he held out his hand in greeting.

"Whatever you say, Sunshine," I say giving the girl a sideways glance. She's a tiny little thing, but she seems raring to get into a fight or twelve. We'll see how she does. Her speed will be helpful. Never know how fast whatever it is that has the doctor might be. "I do have a big red button, and do not push it. Only I get to push the button."

Then the other one climbs into the backseat, chattering away like we're about to go on a trip to White Castle. While he's leaned over the seat holding his hand out for me to shake, I hit the gas, knocking him back into the seat. "No time for that now. Get in. Hold on, and try to keep your curls out of the rear view." Not that I look behind me much unless I'm being chased by a Bentlargian Worm."

I shot into traffic, reached over to crank up the radio, and cut off three or four cabs on my way down the street. The building where Dr. Gray's alert had sounded was only five blocks away, but this was a matter of life and death.

"Fine, just remain close to me at all times. I do not even know what we're going up against." He watched her hand as it went to tweak his nose, causing him to go cross eyed for a moment. He sighed and gave her an unamused expression. It was starting to look as if watching over her was going to be a full time job. He didn't mind one bit though.

In a matter of moments he'd had his nose tweaked and been pushed back into the seat. "Oomph." This could not be a good sign at all of things to come. Before he could even fasten his seatbelt, the car was swerving so much it caused him to bounce from one side to the other before he could get his bearings and finally snap the seatbelt. Hopefully this guy wasn't going to be teaching them how to drive.

The sounds of Elvis rang in his ears or else he would be asking questions. Surprises weren't his favorite things and he wanted to know exactly what they were going to fight as it wasn't in the distress text that went out. Actually, they probably didn't know, because an agent in trouble might not have time to relay all the details.

After glancing to make sure Daphne had on her belt too, he sat there quietly and prayed that this guy was as good of a driver and agent as his files had revealed. He also made sure his gun had full charges and mentally prepared for the worst... all the while making sure to keep his curls out of the rear view.

The short time that I'm driving, I'm checking out the display on my glasses and the rear view. The doctor's phone is transmitting video, but it's too dark for me to see much. There's something shifting around the phone, and I can hear the doctor and another agent shouting at each other but that's about it other than the gurgling noises the alien is making.

"I think we've got an Antratadorian. You know what that is, Sport?" I asked Suresh. His lips were drawn tight, and I could see that he wasn't too fond of my driving. No one is. Part of why I enjoy driving like a crazed teenager on two boxes of Twinkies, a quadruple espresso and a six pack of Mountain Dew. I do love my job. I puled the car into a narrow alley. There's barely enough room to get our doors open and slip out, except for the girl. There's plenty of space for her. She is a little thing.

I loped around to the trunk and placed my palm on the hidden reader in the paint. The lock popped, and I pulled up the hatch a bit faster than the hydraulics wanted me too. But there were lives at stake if not the safety of the human race. I glanced over the array of weapons at my disposal and grabbed a Lextronic 5050. It was a light weight gun with a heat blast designed to dry up slime producing creatures. "That should do the trick. Take your pick, Scout. You too, Cupcake."

Mohinder had no idea what Agent K was talking about. He was still working on reading the instruction manuals for all the alien technology that he was going to have to fix or modify. Going out into the field was not his main job description, so he was unprepared. "I'm sorry, sir. I haven't had the time to read up on all the known alien species yet." Luckily for him, K sounded like he knew what he was talking about. And yeah, Mohinder wasn't very fond of bugs either.

Mohinder climbed out of the car and helped Daphne out as well before following K back to the trunk. Eyes growing wide, he marveled over all the shiny guns inside. They were even bigger than the ones he was used to from the old Company. He was very tempted to grab the biggest gun in there but resisted. Not that he was compensating for anything, he just wanted to be as prepared as possible. So instead, he asked, "What do you recommend, sir? I also have my Noisy Cricket on me as well."

They were impressed with the arsenal, which was to be expected. Most of the agents at the Company relied on their superpowers instead of on good old fashioned fire power. Being a normal human, I didn't have much of a choice in the matter. They did produce their Noisy Crickets, which nearly brought a smile to my face. I can still picture J flying back from the recoil.

"You ever fire that thing, Tiger? How about you, Babygirl?" I opened the scanner app on my phone and aimed it toward where the doctor's signal was coming from. "We don't give those out at the MiB anymore. Too many agents thought they were like using a squirt gun and got hurt when they lost control of the power at their disposal."

"Now, either of you know what powers your doctor has? Might give us a clue why he's in trouble and needs our help, not that I mind a good alien fight mind you." I wasn't listening to what they were saying anyway. Instead I was going through a side door and flicked on the night vision option on my sunglasses. I could see nearly as well in the basement as I could out in the open with them on. "The signals coming from that direction."

"Hold up," I cautioned them, and then crouched to touch a slimy spot on the floor. "Damn, just as I thought. We've got a Cthululian down here. That's a tentacle monster in case you were wondering. They're an off shoot of the Kylothian, which means they can put all those slime covered tentacles into what looks like a normal human body. You ready for this, Ace?"

He answered while watching Daphne choose a gun. "Yes, I've actually practiced with the Cricket a bit at the firing range in the base." And yes, the first time he got a shot off, he was flung back several feet while Sylar stood there laughing his ass off. The ex-killer had done that on purpose, not speaking up about the settings. He wasn't going to volunteer that information though.

At K's question, Mohinder quickly took out his phone and navigated to his electronic cheat sheet. He hadn't met the doctor yet, but he had skimmed through files and entered all the important info into his phone for situations just like this one. "He has persuasion, telekinesis, intuitive aptitude and empathy, according to his files," he informed as he shoved his phone back into his pocket and picked up the biggest gun in the trunk before following the others. He had never fired this one before, but how hard could it be? If all else failed, he still had his Cricket on him.

A Cthululian? That sounded familiar for some reason. He was about to make a calamari joke to lighten the mood, both for himself and the others, when Daphne spoke up asking about what kind of tentacles they were... Hentai monster?! Mohinder almost dropped his gun. "There are no such things as hentai monsters!" he whispered. He hoped... Oh God, what if there was a raging Japanese hentai monster in there...? He gulped, staying very close to Daphne. If there was one, it'd go for her first. It was only logical. And then he'd be next, if the alien swung that way. But he was way too pretty to die. He'd have to trust Daphne would grab them and run them out of there if things got too kinky bad.

With a higher voice than usual, he answered, "I'm ready."

They were doing their best to look brave, but I knew they were nervous. Me, I was excited. It's been a long time since I've faced a tentacle monster. The hentai questions almost make me crack a smile, and I pause to look at them both. "Where to you think the idea for Hentai came from? There was a minor invasion in Japan 'bout three hundred years ago when an advanced scout met a fisherman's wife. And don't worry about Daphne, Ace. These things don't discriminate if you're a boy or a girl. They are focused on eating and infecting. We'll have to give the Doctor and Agent P a thorough examination when we're done rescuing them."

As if on cue, that's when the screaming started, and I noticed the green glowing light coming from beneath a door. The light wasn't green. That was the slime under the door making it look that way. "Now we need to go in fast, and we need to shoot. Hit it either in the mouth or the eyes. Should have about twenty of those."

"Try not to get any of the slime in your mouth. They can mind control you if you do that. For all we know the doctor and Peter are already its slaves."

I have no idea what happened or what's going on but I know we're in serious trouble. I'm hanging upside down and Gabriel's...somewhere. It's hard to see in here, the light keeps coming and going and I don't know how to stop it. I did think about electricity for a minute but then I was afraid of hitting Gabriel.

So I turned to ice and try freezing the tentacle holding me. Really bad idea Peter. I scream when the damn thing slides a tentacle around my arm and pulls hard. At least it didn't pull my arm off like pulling the wings off of flies. Yet. I try again and this time I get dropped but even though I froze one tentacle, there's three more right behind it, grabbing me again.

"Gabriel, you alright?" I try slicing through the tentacle holding Gabriel but green slime oozes out and starts dribbling towards Gabriel's mouth. Shit. I have no idea what it is but I don't want it getting into his mouth. Trying to use TK, I divert the slime so it drips on to the floor. "I think we're fucked!" I try freezing something that could be a head but I miss.

I can feel a tentacle sliding up under my shirt and I squirm, trying to get away from the thing but it tightens its hold on my ankle and that's really starting to hurt.

It was crushing me, putting more and more pressure on my ribs. I could feel them threatening to break, and I couldn't take a real breath. I tried wrapped a shell of telekinesis around me for protection, but it was so fucking strong. It didn't help that I was being whipped around like a dog with a wet rag. Every time I got a change to fight back, it would wave me around, breaking my concentration.

I tried using my persuasion on it, but nothing happened other than one of the tentacles shot toward my mouth. I barely got it shut it time, and it still pressed against my lips while another one wrapped around my throat. It wanted me to open my mouth, and I wouldn't do it. I lashed out with telekinesis and cut off the tentacle, sending a spray of cool green goop all over me.

"I'm not OK." I was afraid, and I hate being afraid. The goop tasted horrible. I lashed at it again and cutting into the creature's flesh, and this time it was the one who screamed. But it didn't let go. More and more of the creature's tentacles twined around my legs, and others tangled my arms so that I couldn't fight back. "My head feels funny, Peter."

Mohinder stared. Was Agent K just messing with them? He sounded quite serious though. So hentai monsters did exist... and there was one currently in the next room. ...And it didn't discriminate. If he had ever been this scared before, he couldn't recall it. This made being pinned to the ceiling seem like a walk in the park in comparison.

And then the screaming began, startling him out of the terrible anime-esque scene he was imagining his coworkers were having to deal with in that room. After trying to make sure Daphne stayed close to him by pulling her to him, he then followed behind K, mentally going over the advice he gave them. Go in fast. Shoot the mouth or one of twenty eyes. Do not eat any slime. Got it.

Once K opened the door, Mohinder peeked in to survey the scene and without hesitation aimed his huge gun toward one of the monster's many eyes. Unfortunately, he couldn't get a clear shot, afraid that he would hit either the doctor or Peter. Although it might have been tempting to take a shot near Sylar Gabriel, he restrained himself and waited for K's next instructions or to follow his lead.

The screams were inhumanly loud, and I couldn't help but grin as I yanked the door open. It was exactly what I was expecting. The alien had P and Dr. G entwined, and the Doctor's face was smeared with the alien's blood and venom. He'd need a level nine detox, and I was glad the doctor wasn't one of the more powerful of his mirror images. We did not need a drone with a Sylar's powers attacking us.

I brought up my gun and started shooting, deep into the fig shaped bulb that formed the alien's body. We didn't have time for fancy shooting. Any damage would help us, and if you shoot enough, you're bound to hit the eyes. It wasn't hard to get a few good shots into its mouth.

The screams got louder, and the doctor was screaming in pain with every shot I took. His eyes were glowing the same green as the creature now. "If we don't get him out of here soon, it'll be too late. Keep shooting!"
