He could only assume this had something to do with the alien attack the other day, and he grabbed his Noisy Cricket as well as a normal gun. He also decided to take the little gadget that he was working on at the moment. It was a type of freeze ray and of course he hadn't had time to test it yet. No time like the present.
After following the signal to Peter's phone, he was truly shocked at what he found - kittens?! And the machine was still going out of control. He decided this would be a perfect time to test out the freeze ray. After aiming, he fired and hit the machine dead on, causing it to... freeze. Wow, that was too easy. He smiled and went over to Peter kitten. Was this it? Was that all he had to do?
The cat seemed very nervous and hopped around meowing for a moment before going over to the phone and slowly typing out what was going on. Of course it wasn't going to be this easy! Mohinder took out his own phone and searched the security cameras to see if he could find where they went. As soon as he got a lock on their activity, he headed out the door and to the elevator.

I put the one serum in my right pocket, Adam's blood in my left so I don't get them mixed up. I hope like hell this works. "The thing is fast, we need to check the rooms together." At least I'll be ready for it this time. Looking at the doors, I sigh. "Which one Peter? We have to save him, it's not his fault he's like this." We can't let him get hurt more than he already is. Peter moves to one of the doors and I follow.
"Do you want to go in first and I'll be right behind? Or should I go in first and try and surprise him?" Either way should work, hopefully. "What if these don't work?" They have to.

As he arrived, the lights began flickering until they went out, leaving nothing but the backup generators for that floor to light the way. Well, it looked like the alien had found a power source and somehow short circuited it. Turned out, he was just in time to see movement going into one of the doors. Was that Dr. Gray? Just in case, he pulled out the freeze ray and the Cricket and walked toward the door with them locked, loaded, and ready, Lara Croft style.
Of course it was too dark to know he was actually aiming at Vampire Peter. Poking the Cricket at V's back, and the freeze ray at the back of his head, he said, "Alien formerly known as Dr. Gray? Good evening. As a duly-designated representative of the City, County and State of New York, I order you to cease any and all alien activity and return forthwith to your place of origin, or to the next convenient solar system."

A nob rubs along the taught skin of the host's belly, and he screams in pain as it pushes through the flesh. Blood from the host splatters over the nest, and its head rolls back as a pair of thin tentacles surge from its mouth and begin to pry his jaws apart. It is time to shed this useless skin and evolve.

Taking out the first syringe, I take a deep breath. "Okay, lets get in there and save him before it's too late." Please don't let it already be too late. The door almost doesn't want to open but I push harder and it swings open. The second the door is open I can smell the blood and I almost whimper. We're too late. There's something pushing its way out of Gabriel and there's a rush through me that I don't understand.
With a snarl, I move fast and pouncing on it and jamming the needle into its neck, hoping like hell I can plunge it in before it throws me off or at least that Peter gets a chance if I can't make it.

What was waiting for them was not a pleasant sight at all, and Mohinder's jaw dropped as he began to wobble a little. It was like something out of The Thing movie! Don't throw up. Don't throw up. Taking a deep breath, he stood up straight and prepared for the worst. The guns hummed as he set them to full charge, sounding like a Proton Pack firing up.
Next thing he knew, Peter was on it like a lighting bolt and the creature didn't seem to like that one bit. The tentacles began to thrash around wildly and Mohinder knew he had to do something to slow it down before one of them went for the empath. The Cricket was too dangerous to use yet, so he began shooting the freeze ray at the tentacles, hitting a few and putting them out of commission. The ones he missed went barreling towards him, one picking him up by the leg, while the others tried to take the guns away. "Oh no you don't!" Shooting the limbs point blank was pretty easy, but the one holding him upside down still remained and was throwing him around hard. This alien was really pissed off now.
There was no way he could get a clear shot at the last big tentacle holding him with how brutal he was being jerked around. Hopefully the Peters could do the rest. And hopefully they could do it before he got motion sickness!

I fumble at my pocket, hands slick with blood and the smell of it is coursing through me, making it hard to concentrate. I want to feed and I can feel my fangs dropping down, pressing into my lip. But I can control it, it's one of the first things you learn in school after all. I finally manage to get the other syringe out and I push it into Gabriel. "Please work." I have no idea if it will, Gabriel's more or less dead, but Peter seemed to think it would.
I toss the empty syringe away and turn to look at the other two. The alien seemed to be slowing down so maybe it was dying. "What do we do now? Tear it apart?" I want to. I want to make it suffer for what it did to Gabriel, for putting him through this hell. Why I feel this way I have no idea, but I do. "Can we burn the fucking thing to ash?" I'm afraid to look and see what's happening to Gabriel, that he's really dead and we were too late.

He rolled off Peter and, noticing the alien was now separated from Dr. Gray, began shooting at the alien with both barrels while also kicking away the tentacles trying to attack them. The serum seemed to be working and the alien began slowing down. The tentacles dropped to the ground and now the other Peter was ready to totally obliterate the alien.
Although Mohinder would like to take its corpse to study, perhaps it was better to destroy it instead. He walked over to Peter and handed him the Cricket and a lighter. "Full power, point blank in the area where the eyes are located, should do the trick. Then light it up."
While VPeter took care of disposing of the alien, Mohinder rushed over to Dr. Gray. Oh man, it didn't look good at all. After kneeling down, he checked for vitals but didn't expect to get anything... But to his surprise, there was a weak pulse. "Peter, he's still alive!" Looked like the second syringe was trying to work its magic.
