Murdoc and Sands are back from Vegas. They stay in Sands apartment, because it's nicer. Muds sits on the bed with the sheets loosely draped over him, though not enough to keep it from being indecent. His body temperature is high at all times and he doesn't give a damn about nudity

Assurances that none of is his fault gets his attention and he's more likely to agree. That entire conversation is officially over in the agent's mind. On to other things.
"What do I do to him when he's bad?"
Sands' methods of discipline are so out there he doesn't know how to do it without ruining Murdoc completely. Right now his plan is to shoot Murdoc someone non vital and tell him he's a very naughty boy. He still thinks this is a fine plan but he'll ask his partners opinion first.

Sometimes, the fact he's talking about himself upsets Murdoc, but not as often as it probably should. He's just some punk kid Muds happens to have extra insight on.
"Make him watch the news with you... And ask him questions about it, so he's forced to pay attention. It'd do him some good, besides. When you really need results? ... Ignore him."

"Should I pitch the back of his neck like on the Dog Whisperer? Or will that be too much of a reward? Here- tell me how this feels."
Sands quickly gives Muds a pinch right below his hair line and grins. He sometimes seems like nothing got through and Sands was reruning a funny cartoon in his head as his boyfriend speaks but he heard every word and plans to take Muds' advice. Later. He still might shoot the kid this once.

The pinch to his neck makes him wince and he swats at Sands. No. That's not rewarding, it's annoying. Muds laughs and rubs the odd itch where the pinching was.
"Yes... Train just like the Dog Whisperer." He shakes his head and pulls Sands over to lean against him again. "Whatever works for ya. You got me where I am, so it can't be too fucking bad."

Sands laughs at the swatting but fights being pulled closer at first. Just until he realizes Muds is trying to make him lean on him and not getting revenge.
"Do you think I should wait for him to wander back to egg my front door or go after the brat?"

muds shrugs apologetically, because there is no predicting this sort of thing. He did everything on a whim then. He mostly does now.

That was added in solely so Sands isn't alone in this. Like a parent telling the other that their teenager hates him just as much as her.
Sands gnaws a little on the shoulder that was bony enough before the shrugging made it too uncomfortable to keep using it as a head rest.
"I told Jack I would spend some time with him when I got back. It looks like I'm not going to see you until late tonight."
Sands kisses his cheek and gets up to pull some pants on.
"You getting dinner tonight?"
Reply
"Be careful with the pirate. And yeah, I can get dinner. Anything you think you'll want? Or should I look forward to holding your hair back when you stumble home?"
Mmm. Drunk is nice. Maybe he'll get hammered himself.

"Something in the form of chicken or pork will be nice. Where's my jolly roger t-shirt?"
Sands knows perfectly well it's in the closet. He just needs someone to pick out the right one. He sits back down on the bed and pulls his shoes and socks on. Not in that order.
"We're just gonna share a bottle and hang out. I'll be home and half sober for food."
He actually believes this thing. But it's not true.

Murdoc prefers red, but he can show his affection by getting what Sands wants and he loves an easy way to be romantic. It's often so damn hard.
"Right. Well, I'll try to wait up for you."
He gets up and sorts through the closet casually. Eventually he finds the shirt Sands wanted.
"Catch." It's tossed at the agent, knowing full well he might get it in the face. Most people would find this a cruel game to play with a blind person. Murdoc finds it funny.

He adds his hip holsters and then holds Murdoc's lack of hips as he kisses and sucks his bottom lip for a good long while.
"I'll call if I'm gonna be late."
Sands would feel very married right now if this wasn't his usual domestic happy attitude around the apartment. With everyone but El and the Murdoc's it was a game. For the younger he does it because impersonating a stable home is the best he can do most days. Agent Murdoc and El got it because when they stayed with Sands he was happy. When Sands is happy he turns into an evil Donna Reed.

"Ok. I'll keep my cell on me, then." It only gets turned off or left aside if he's killing or fucking, so it's not like it was an issue anyway. He finds the evil Donna Reed act adorable, too.
"Be careful out there, princess. It's a mean old world."
Reply
"Toddles, sweetness."
He grabs his cell and leaves to drag Jack away from his ship girl thing.
