It's rare to run into an album as good as the Zutons 'You can do anything'. Following an impressive power pop debut with their previous enjoyable, though not astounding, this album sees the Z's really jump up to the next level and put all that potential into actuality.
This is one of those rare modern albums that is good all the way through, and not just a collection of samey sounding music. Avoiding the pitfalls of however well-meaning noodley prog-rock, 'You can do..' is a really amazing eclectic selection of snappy pop numbers, deep 1960's kinks influenced grooves and thoroughly original takes on today's guitar flavoured indie rock that British bands do so well. ##
