Olypmics Ho!
I've never been very much of a big Olympics Watcher - it makes me hark for better days when I was in shape and playing softball - but last night I totally got sucked in starting with the Woman's Single Sabre Competition which was awesome. It was really interesting to see all the electronics they have involved now in order to tell exactly who touched who first and where. What I really liked about it was how emotional the players were due to the fact that before there was electronic sensors they would try to influence the judge by yelling so there was a lot of that and it was fun - just an hour ago America swept the event for their first Olympic medals of the 2008 games :D yay. Let's see - then I watched the very end of Air Rifle which I didn't understand at all, and then BADMITTON which was AMAZING. I love badmitton and to see the trick shots and dives they would pull off all while the birdie is flying upwards of 200mph - amazing. Although USA lost to CAN which was major suckage due to the fact that the can girl had talked smack about the american team in her blog = but it was a close match. We then watched equestrian which was okay - I much prefer the more immediate compietitve sports than the races or judging events. We watched some soccer and just now some swimming which america is not doing as hot as I would've thought they were going to do but the finals are on tonight so we'll see.
