Time for an Update

Jan 01, 2007 10:38

So I realize that I haven't updated in quite sometime and being away from the people I normally talk to leaves more reason than ever to keep things posted publicly sooooo....

Finals week came and went - with sleepless nights and adarol-indcued focusness. Me and my roomate left eachother on fairly bad terms as she spent the entirety of one night printing shit out on her loud-ass computer by the light of her beacon of a lamp and although I said nothing, the next night, after I myself had an all-nighter consisting of me at my desk writing by one desk lamp...she had the audacity to complain about it to another of my friends the next morning. We didn't talk since the incident and I am left praying that the rumor about her moving in with another friend is true.

Then the plane ride home came and went - complete with peanut throwing brats sitting in front of me - I gave them the scary "over the sunglasses look" and it stopped. Being home has been good - cold with the frequent parental trouble - but good. I am torn about going back becuase the stress of living under parents rules will be gone along with the cold weather, but there are a lot of money issues and such I have to deal with upon my return. (being that I quit best buy due to the crap I had been putting up with) but I am less worried about finding a job and just worried about how much ill have to work in order to account for tuition and books.

I am also starting a new system of keeping myself motivated - taking a page out of my moms book. Upon seeing some old pictures of myself with much smaller breasts and much less arm hanging from my shoulders I have decided to make number one resolution to loose some weight - and my s econd resolution is to save more money - not only for school, but also for a trip to ireland I am now planning on taking. I figured that by planning one big event that I have to sa ve up for and look good for it will drive me to save more, loose more weight, and keep focused until that thing arrives. So for spring break 08 I would like to spend 10 days in dublin - meet a hot young irish lad, and then plan another trip somewhere for the next year that will keep my drive going. I was looking on travelocity and apparently since so many college kids go to europe over spring break, hotel and air fair are really cheap - like 1,500 for 10 days, 9 nights in a 4 star hotel including round trip air fair. Alls Id have to save for after that would be for the enormous pub tab I plan on racking up since I am using this trip to the drinking capital as my 21st bday celebration.

Other than that not much has happened - fairly low key xmas: here are some of the highlights...

*grammy ann hit on my friend tom by asking for his hands in her pockets - and when I laughed proceeded to call me nasty (she also informed us of the lamb-slaughtering process that occured to manufacture the coat she was wearing)
*uncle jeff seemed overly excited that chase and i had been talking again - like excited so much he have an open invite to stop by the house anytime and proceeded to give me chase's cell number.
*saw eragon with tom - spent the whole movie choosing which guys we liked and hoping that they would make out with eachother.
*also watched immortality, saw II, hellraiser and boondock saints with tom - I forgot how much Id loved boondock saints and subsequently made tom watch simply irresistible to quench my lust for sean patrick flanery.
*as a result of the boondock saints I also made tori watch it and we spent the entire day talking in irish accents to eachother :)

That's all for now - being back in fla soon will probably cause a more frequent update *hopefully* and I have to let everyone on the world wide web now how my new years resolutions are going :) I leave you with these lines that my sister and I have subsquently memorized and recite to e achother (me as connor, she as murphy)

now you will recieve us
we do not want your poor your hungry
we do not ask for your tierd and sick
it is your corrupt we claim
it is your evil which will be saught by us
each day we will spill their blood till it rains down from the sky
do not kill do not rape do not steal
these are principles which every man of every faith can embrace
these are not polite suggestions
these are codes of behavior
and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost
we urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over
into true corruption
into our domain
for if you do - one day you will look behind you and see we three
and on that day - you will reap it

and sheperds we shall be
for thee my lord for thee
power decends forth from thy hand
that our feet may carry out swiftly thy command
we shall flow a river forth to thee
and teeming with souls shall it ever be
in Nomane Patri
Et Filii
Et Spirtus Sancti
