I'm officially finished with the literature review chapter of my thesis. Hooray! Even better, my professor said it is exactly what a literature review chapter should be, and he wants to use it as an example of an exemplary thesis. Well alright then, double hooray! Now I am to the point of doing the actual interviews, so if anyone knows of anybody that would be a good person to interview, for the love of god let me know. Here is my list of professions I want to interview:
- doctor
- lawyer
- journalist/author
- maintenance
- CPA
- professor
- military personnel
- sales
- police
- researcher
- sports coach
- engineer
- politics
- philosophy
- therapist
I am by no means restricted to this list, I just chose these because it seemed like they would have interesting answers, as well as a wide range of answers. I have some ideas, but nowhere near as many as I need.
For anyone who doesn't remember, my thesis is studying how people in a profession say "I don't know" without actually saying the words "I don't know" (or saying the words, but qualifying them with something). I would be eternally grateful for any suggestions, the only stipulation is that I need to be able to meet with this person face-to-face, so it has to be someone within (reasonable) driving distance.
