Oh, wow, what a cool meme! :)

Also, my mom knows the "speech" from the George Reeves Superman show, and we used to make her recite it on cue

I came up with it by rewording the Kris Allen meme that someone else on my flist is doing. I'm a thief, lol.

Yeah, my mom still does the speech even though I mentally cringe when she gets to the "disguised as Clark Kent" part. I have to remember that this was Silver Age and I WAY prefer the Modern Age version that has Clark as the real person and not the "disguise".

My icon is ironic, lol.

I absolutely remember taping movies and tv shows. We still have some of those tapes, lol.

I remember watching the George Reeves version once and thinking "...but he's not Superman." Because at the time the only Superman I knew was CR. I accepted Dean Cain readily enough though because I loved L&C. Now Tom has owned my heart.

Well, that is a two part answer because I don't what came first because I was so young. Either Dean Cain on "Lois & Clark" or George Reeves on "Adventures of Superman"

I understand. Superman has been in my consciousness for so long that I don't really remember the actual first time I'd ever seen him. Just that I used to hope he would fly by my house, lol.
