Smallville Series Rewatch: Episode 1.12 (Day Six)

May 26, 2010 17:28

Due to my long windedness, the next three episodes I'll try to keep the reviews down to a paragraph.

By my count, there were two more car fatalities in this episode.

Episode 12: Leech (part V) itashee June 1 2010, 18:46:02 UTC
7) CLARK KENT’S “WORDS OF WISDOM”:

Clark’s advice to Lana: “Sometimes letting go is the only way to move forward.”
I wish Clark would remember his own advice when he decided to rekindle (AGAIN!) his relationship with Lana in season 8 (when Lois was out of town). Yeah, it still hurts me when I think about it…

8) The “MOST IN CHARACTER LINE” of the episode:
Goes to Lex Luthor and his “I plan on being great all by myself”

9) “THAT’S SO 80’S MOMENT” of the episode:

Eric carrying his Boombox @_@ (or something that looked like a Boombox) in order to show his peers how "badass-cool" he is! - LOOOOL!

10) “MR BEEMAN - YOU’RE MY HERO” AWARD:
Goes to Greg Beeman who did a DAMN GOOD JOB as a director and producer of Smallville in season 1. And, here is another reason why GB is THE MAN!

This is what he said in the official companion: “The final question of the episode was how Clark would cope without his powers. I loved that,” Greg Beeman says. “I fought to get more of that in. I went to Al and Miles and said that I wanted to see the basketball game, and Clark gets hit in the nose. I wanted to see him get hurt and fall down. I wanted him to lose the basketball game and have the greatest day of his life, because he’s not holding back.”

The basketball scene was such a great moment in Leech! I LOVED IT SO MUCH! *_*
And GB was responsible for it! He was also responsible for Erica Durance playing Lois Lane on Smallville!
GB should never have left SMALLVILLE…

11) The “TITLE OF THE MOST ANNOYING CHARACTER” in Leech:
Goes to Victoria’s father: Harry Hardwick for his overall performance (really HATED this guy!)

12) The “REASON WHY I LOVE CLARK” in this episode:
Clark saying “Even though Eric has my abilities,I still think of them as my responsibility.”

(You’re sooo my Superman, Clark! *_*)

13) The “BEST SONG” of the episode:
Bush “Inflatable”

I was a fan of this band when I was a teenager and I had a HUGE CRUSH on Gavin Rossdale (the singe/guitarist - he has a great voice *_*).
I still listen to Bush (for sentimental reasons)

Wow! So many categories in this one! O_O
Well, it was a good episode…

Ok. That’s it for Leech!

I loved this scene too, and for all the reasons Beeman did.

Oh, and the Annoying Character Award is hereby changed to the MARVIN K. MOONEY AWARD. If you haven't read it, it's Dr. Seuss book where the narrator keeps telling Marvin K. Mooney to "Please Go Now!"
