I totally forgot about the fact that Jonathan and Nell used to date! So, when Clark and Lana started talking about it - I was a little bit surprised by it. Jonathan fell in love with Martha and Clark with Lois - it’s nice to see that Clark shares some of Jonathan’s character traits ;)

Personally, I believe that Nell interrupted Clark and Lana’s kiss, because she was still hurt that Jonathan chose Martha over her (maybe Nell treated Jonathan as the love of her life?). And maybe, just maybe - she didn’t want to see history repeating itself? You know, Clark IS Jonathan’s son (yes, he is adopted but it’s not difficult to see that Clark strongly resembles Jonathan).

I had exactly the same thought when I heard Clark’s line - LOL! Again, some things never change ;)

Pete: "Have you seen the sunset from my loft?" You actually said that? And I bet your stomach was in knots the whole time? If I were you, I'd start scripting what I was going to say now. Clark: No, I think I'll play it by ear, fly by the seat of my pants. Pete: Clark, you're not the flying type.
Personal confession: I really like season1 Pete! And I think it’s rather sad that in later seasons (from season 4 onwards) Clark didn’t have a guy friend. I mean, yeah, he had Chloe to talk to - but friendship between two guys is a totally different thing. I truly like Clark - Pete interaction in season 1…

Maybe now that Oliver has finally understood what it means to be loyal to Clark, this will change. And if not, then Clark always has Bruce in his future.

I don’t know about Oliver... I remember Justin Hartley saying (in one of his season 9 interviews -after Pandora) that he believes that Oliver and Clark will never be best friends. But who knows what will happen in season 10?
I just really miss that man-to-man dynamic on Smallville… In season 1-3 Clark could talk to Jonathan (Clark’s father not his buddy, but still..), Lex and Pete. In season 4 - there was still Jonathan. In season 5 - Jonathan died and that was it - no more TRUE guy friends.
Oh, wait! And what about Bart? I think that Bart-Clark dynamic was really nice (not counting Doomsday episode)… I guess, they are still good buddies Offscreenville? I’d like to see Bart interacting with Clark in season 10 (that’s my wish).
