Overall Thoughts:
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
Uhhhhhhhh. I guess it's about what I predicted. If I get off my butt I might end up finishing one more fic before the year is up but I really...doubt it? idk
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
All my anime fic. Like lmaoooo. Also my The White Queen stuff. Like I didn't really mean to write fic for that I just got so inspired.
What's your own favorite story of the year?
The Wonder Keeping the Stars Apart - I just. I don't know. I'm very fond of this fic, even though I constantly think of ways that it could be better (because it COULD be) and it's something that I actually enjoy re-reading. I put lots of thought into this fic, and lots of research, trying to make it semi-plausable. I think I succeeded.
Did you take any writing risks this year?
I started writing chaptered fics again, which I haven't done for at least two years. And I actually finished most of them, which I'm really pleased about.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year?
I guess try to write every day. Or at least try to finish something once a month, if that's not possible. (Because sometimes with my schedule it's not.)
From my past year of writing, what was...
My best story of this year: I don't know? I don't look at my writing technically like that, haha. I just know what I have the most fun writing.
My most popular story of this year:
Let Morning Come, surprisingly. I have a very complicated relationship with that fic, haha.
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: I don't think it's under-appreciated per say but like...idk haha.
Clear Distinction, probably. But I figured no on would read that, so.
Most fun story to write: I really enjoyed writing
Brighter Than Before. That was super fun. Also
Clear Distinction was a blast, figuring out the mystery and trying to put in clues. Also
All I Am, All I'll Be. I love writing rom com stuff.
Story with the single sexiest moment: I finally started writing porn this year so like...I don't know haha. My porn isn't really sexy.
Most "holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: Nah. Nothing like that this year, I'm pretty boring.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
I've Got Nothing But My Aching Soul really made me pity Elizabeth of York in TWQ and made me like her a whole lot more.
Hardest story to write:
Let Morning Come was pretty rough. I had to rewrite a lot of it and stop and start with it. Just a mess.
Biggest disappointment:
Be Changed or Be Undone. Like...why did I write that...and publish it...it's awful.
Biggest surprise: MY ANIME FIC. Oh god if my 2012 self could see me now, she'd kill me.
Most unintentionally telling story: I put a lot of the bullshit of my school experience into
Somewhere Between the Lines.
Favorite Opening Line(s):
The first thing that Scott does when he gets home is hug his mother. (

Our Victorian has been broken into. (

Westminster Abbey is beautiful and solemn, and it makes Anne feel small. (

Being back in Iwatobi smacked of failure. (

Favorite Closing Line(s):
"Well, now that that's settled," Stiles says, offering his arm. "You ready for this?"
"Born ready," Erica says, and they walk in together. (

When Melissa finds them, they are still holding hands. (

Favorite 5 Line(s) from Anywhere:
The condoms that she had picked up last night were on her bedside table. There were five of them lined up like soldiers ready to go to battle. Looking at them made her nervous all over again, and so she ran out of her room and tackled cleaning the rest of the house as well. (

That night Anne thinks of Katherine de Valois, who loved Owen Tudor; of Margaret who was said to have loved Edmund Beaufort; of herself, who has always loved Richard and wonders what it is about Lancastrian husbands that makes their wives and queens unable to love them. (

Top 5 Scenes from Anywhere You Would Choose to Have Illustrated: Nothing, really. I'm so lame?
Fic-writing goals for 2013: Start a novel length fic and actually finish it! Write things that make me stretch myself. Write for more fandoms. Write more in general.
