last night i went up to Becky's place because she threw a "desert party". she ended up making a hell of a lot and no one turned up but me and she was a bit bummed out. turns out that wasn't such a bad thing because her best friend Cassie just broke up with her boyfriend (bex's roommate) and that was causing a lot of drama between the two of them.
that asshole from a few blogs ago showed up for about half an hour (the one that wanted to have the political debate) and so Becky and I went outside to talk about life and stuff. she wanted to know when enough is enough, how hard should a friendship be and all that fun stuff. the only answer i could give is that i hold my friends to different sets of standards depending on who they are. with Cassie i really don't expect anything from her, which may seem cold but I'm sick of constantly being disappointed. with Becky she expects a lot from her friends so the situation with Cassie is a lot more personal to her.
i don't know anymore. everyone comes to me when something is going wrong (and my conceited part of me enjoys that) but it still is hard to cope with. they tell you secrets you can't tell the other person and they tell you how they honestly feel about something and then you are put into a situation where you have to lie or be honest and possibly loose a friend. where do you draw the line?
Cassie and Shawn broke up yesterday and when i was at the party he pulled me aside and basically told me he would now be using me as a third wheel so he can still be friends with Cassie because they don't feel comfortable going out alone as friends yet. i mean seriously what do you say to that? that's a situation i don't really want to get involved in, but again I'm damned if i do and damned if i don't.
this morning Renee called and invited me to tag along with her little sister to see shrek the third. it was a decent movie (glad i paid matinee price for it). most of what got me through it was the fact that is was only 1h 33m. then Shawn called and "invited" me to go with Cassie to see shrek. so i had to see the movie twice in one day. that was...enjoyable.
then Renee called again with mama drama and i offered to just pick her up and drive around, just chill out. we went to sheetz and just drove around the Gettysburg area and proceeded to go to Diane's house where they partaked in some pot and alcohol. fun times all around.
