For some reason I feel like that S needs the yellow.. I just can't see it as "right" without it, you know?

I don't usually feel that the S absolutely needs the yellow, but in this case, with so little color otherwise, it needs it.

You're right about it needing the yellow in the symbol. It's a dark costume, but with the brighter symbol, it still feels like Superman. The first one is a step too far in the Elseworlds direction. :)
