in which she makes a phone-call
Woke up this morning with an obnoxious beep-beep-beep every few seconds from the direction of the road. After about half an hour of this, I crawled out of bed to glare out the window. There was a van illegally parked with its lights flashing and beeeeeeeping. I was displeased.
Then, it occurred to me to do something drastic...to actually be proactive instead of grumbling! I phoned the company who owned the van and told them to find out which one of their staff was parked on this street and make them turn off the alarm.
A minute or two later, who should emerge but a sheepish-looking man with a key. Bye-bye, beeping.
Being assertive is good for me. *happyface*
