Back for a second season, the Laboratory of Art and Ideas at Belmar presents the wildly popular
MIXED TASTE: TAG TEAM LECTURES ON UNRELATED TOPICS
The rules of Mixed Taste are simple: There are two speakers. The first speaks for a half hour on one subject (e.g. T. S. Eliot). They tag. The second speaker discusses a completely unrelated subject (e.g. fresh meat sausage) for the next half hour. Then, there are questions and answers of both at the same time. During the initial talks, the speakers are not allowed to make connections between subjects. During question-and-answer, anything can happen.
These lectures are at the very least quite informative and at the very best a total riot. I attended most of the series last summer and had a great time. Plus, I think I learned a thing or two.
Who wants to go with me to this Thursday’s lecture?
