Halloween - just around the corner... YAY!

So as you all probably know I have been majorly slacking on keeping up with my blog.  Sigh.

Anyhow it being relatively close to Halloween (aka its the closest major holiday/all the decor is out now) so I am of course thinking of what to be.  This year it all came to me fairly easily.  I decided to be Charlotte... you might be saying, ok well you already ARE Charlotte.  Yes I am.  But I mean Charlotte from Charlotte's Web.  Sawyer is going to Wilbur the pig (I already got him a costume).

I got this idea because a few weeks ago Stinatina sent me this awesome website with really cool knitting patterns and one that was on there was a lace knit scarf inspired by Charlotte's Web.  It is gorgeous and I thought, man, I should make that someday...  Fast-forward a few days to me wandering around target and spying the doggy costumes.  I saw that they had a pig and I thought this is perfect!  So anyhow I bought my yarn for the scarf last week and will be getting started on it tonight at knitting class.  Wish me luck!  I hope that this is not a bigger task then I anticipate.

In other news Sawyer and I did another private dog lesson.  It was great.  His trainer, Val, said that he has come a long way.  He was the doggy that could not sit still next to me while I talked to her to the dog who laid down and just chilled while we talked.  He was the dog who would pull your arm off on a walk to the dog who will walk calmly at your side.  She gave me some great new tips on things to work with him on and also getting him off a prong collar.  We are going to do an obedience class in a month and then once we complete that hopefully he will be able to do agilty with me!

sawyer, halloween
