FINALLY Sex and the City: The Movie came out. I have been eargerly anticipating its release... for quite a while now. I don't think I have been this excited about a movie coming out since... the Star Wars prequels. But unlike the Star Wars Prequels I was not disappointed. The movie was fabulous. I don't want to say too much about it in case folks have not seen it. The clothes were great... It made me want to wear more heels. I liked the story and I thought it was cool to see them take the characters to this new stage in life. Charlotte amused me quite a bit. She is good at being angry and hilarious at the same time. Anyhow - everyone should go see it... Especially if you were a fan of the show (but then you probably already have seen it by this point, right?). I highly recommend it. I think I may have to go see it a few more times myself.
Since I was so highly anticipating the opening of this movie, we made a weekend out of it. Friday night Rhi came down from her mountain. She got it late so we caught up for a bit and then we went to sleep. The next day we went over to Southpoint around 12ish to get our tickets for that night. Then we went shopping and each got the soundtrack at Best Buy (which is also good, btw - but I was upset because they did NOT include one of my favorite songs, Click Click Flash, from the movie on it, boo-hiss!). Anyhow after running around and becoming throughly grimy Rhi and I returned to my apartment and got cleaned up. Kelli came down and the 3 of us were off for mani/pedi's. It was very nice and relaxing. Rhi and I both agreed that our feet needed some love. I got the nails done pink - because it only seemed fitting. Then we headed to the theater and saw the movie. We laughed, we cried, we clapped! It was great - people in the theater were actually applauding and cheering at different parts.

After the flick we went to Firebirds for drinks and cake. It was fun and filled with girl-talk (yay). We headed back home and Rhi and I decided we were not done for the night so she and I went out to Franklin St. for drinks at Top of the Hill. We had a good time chilling and being amused by drunk bar flys. The bar eventually kicked us out when they closed and we called it a night.

Sunday morning out of shear laziness and hunger Rhi and I went over to Elmo's Diner for brunch. It was wonderful. Shortly there after she had to head back to the mountains. I was sad to see her go, but we will see each other a bunch in June so that made it stink less. The rest of the day I had some much needed veg time. All and all it was a great weekend with the girls.
