La vie c'est bon

Life has been good as of late. I have to confess. I had a lovely and chill weekend which was great and just what I needed. Friday night I went to see my mom for catholic dinner (Friday during lent!). So we ate and hung out and watched when Harry Met Sally. I also got to check up on Cole to see how he was recovering. He is doing much better now and can walk a little bit. I am glad my puppy dog is feeling better. It is so hard to watch your favorite animal suffer!

Saturday I was a busy girl, taking care of business, work out, & play with Sawyer. Then I went to hang with my friend Noah. He is big into music so he was playing all sorts of cool stuff for me. It is nice to have a cool friend to just chill with and shoot the shit. It was a good night. I am now encouraged to make some sort of compilation cd for him. he is big into making people mixes and I was realizing I don't really do that anymore. In high school & college I used to all the time. For a while even, Nicole and I used to make each other monthly mix cds. Some of the coolest mixes I have made and received came out of that. So I think I may have to attempt some sort of mix again to share with Noah, plus they are always a lot of fun to think about and put together.

Sunday I helped my mom out at her classroom for a few hours. We did our classic mother/daughter rendition of the Sound of Music - which is always a sight to see (thank god no one was watching). Afterwards I was supposed to meet up with Nicole to go to an Oscar party with her and her friends but delays kept Nicole out of town so I just ended up chilling and working out instead.

Yesterday was a lot of fun. My friend from my neighborhood, Yanik, took me out riding. I had not been out on a bike in a while so it was nice. I had never ridden as a passenger on a sport bike either. Let me tell ya, it is much harder/different to do then riding on a cruiser or semi-sport bike. You basically have to sit there with your butt in the air the whole time & you slide around a whole lot more. After a while I started to get the hang of it, but it was definitely a work out keeping myself braced the whole time. I am not gonna lie my arms and legs were a little tense/tired by the end of the ride. But it was lots of fun. Afterwards I went to a meeting on crime for our apartment complex. It was pretty interesting I have to say I am glad I went. We met the cop that lives on the property and we got some good tips. I also met a bunch of my neighbors and found out that apparently there is a sex offender that lives on our property (they are trying to evict him though). I am glad to have me ferocious guard dog (seriously he is mean if he you cross him). Anyhow all and all yesterday was not at all a terrible Monday.
