American dream?

I had a talk with my mom the other day. She said the words I hear her say over and over again and I hate them. They are words of unbelief and they are:

" I wish you would have gone to college"

This last time she said it I just kept my mouth shut because obviously she doesn't listen. She doesn't understand that if I did go to college that I would have either wasted their money or mine because I'd either dropped out or failed or got a degree in something I would NEVER use (which is what my sister did). She also doesn't realize that she either has no belief in me or no hope in me. Which if she doesn't have that for me then I don't even want to know how her relationship with God is.
I am starting to accept the fact that she does say that because when she does it gives me more clarification, motivation, and revelation about my core values!
Here is one example.....my parents want me to pursue the "American dream!" in a nutshell they want me to work my butt off till I become a doctor, have a big family, and a live in a nice neighborhood with a big backyard and huge house. That's it!
It might even be deeper....they might want me to go to college so they have security that someone is going to take care of them when they get old....financial security. Because let's face it....my dad has no retirement and on top of that, he just had a triple by-pass and he's still smoking cigarettes.
I am here to make a stand and say that the American dream SUCKS and is pointless! It's one reason people have affairs, beat their wives/kids, do drugs, etc. They get to the end of the American dream and there is nothing else for them....no other goals. Their only goal is to MAKE MONEY.....what a crock! That dream sucks to me and I want more out of life! I am so happy right now with making $350 a week and coming home and spending time with God and that time spent with God, He fills me with something spiritual and with what  He fills me with gives me the ability to go out and give to the world....something the world needs....unconditional love, hope, grace, mercy, faith, and something beyond our natural....something supernatural....a touch of Jesus! Once you have that, then all the priorities in life fade away and His light comes in and takes control. Anyone who reads this might think this doesn't make sense but I pray that your eyes and ears will be opened to the TRUTH.

American dream? No thank you!

I WANT GOD'S DREAM! I WANT TO SEE THE WORLD CHANGED!!!
