There's a thick layer of snow outside my window. About three-four inches of snow has settled since last night. I can't say I'm happy about the situation, I didn't move to Victoria for the snow. Or the cold. It's meant to be mild around these parts (note that Victoria is south of London by a few hundred miles, but there is no Gulf Stream), but the outlook has it being sub zero through to Christmas. I can't recall a white Christmas, so that might be novel.
However, if it snows enough, work will be closed down (it's out in the sticks) so at least there's a chance of a Snow Day.
To comfort this turn of events, I have made sausage rolls, banana bread and roast chicken (which in turn created a good slosh or seven of Chicken Stock for Christmas Gravy). I also had the pleasure of listening to the Detroit Lions lose another game to go 0-14. Infamy is within their grasp now.
Edit : Stupid ice. Twisted by ankle and now hobbling around in between applications of frozen sweetcorn.
