Things go well...

... things go badly.

Right now things are on the good side of the equation (only stopping being super from being in the office on a Sunday working, and work being very busy as we come up to our release).

In no particular order:

1) Listening to a great selection of music on Sirius Radio via the internet. Shame it's a free channel and they want me to pay for more. Might have to as it also provides...

2) Commentary on the NFL season. The most important sports season is back, and back with a win by the Detroit Lions. The fact I still haven't got myself a Mike Furrey black Lions shirt is only laziness (and the price of postage to Canada from NFL online). But never mind, the NFL being back makes me very happy, and my Sundays are booked for the rest of the year.

3) Beer fest! Had a wide selection of mostly fine beers from the North West of North America yesterday in the middle of a sports field close to the center of Victoria. I was a little bit squiffy by the end (I blame the sun, but that doesn't seem to be a valid excuse). I have a list of three or four very very good ales I am going to have to find (ones that were better for not being chilled like crazy, as is the want of many North Americans). Howe Sound and Shaswup Lake breweries were very good indeed. And this time no-one had added a bottle of 18-year old whiskey to any of the beers (Scotch and Scotch was possibly the nasty thing I have ever drank... it tasted like a Glaswegian Tramp smells).

4) My parents visiting, and thus:
a: Having a good excuse to see some more of the island.
b: seeing family.
c: making sure I am not turning Canadian, eh.
d: going to several of my favourite eateries in the area, as well as having fine cooked steak the size of my head as Brasserie d'Ecole downtown.

5) The fact my vacation starts in 2 week, and I'll be in Vegas (baby, Vegas). Which makes me also very happy.

6) Getting Season 1 of Dexter on DVD and finally catching up on what happened in the finale. One or two small annoying bits, but otherwise another riveting HBO show (about a serial killer who works in forensices for the Miami Police. Course, no-one knows he's psychopathic killer). Recommended.
