back to the grind
Ah, a fine 3 day weekend. John worked all weekend, so I spent the days doing errands, knocking around and taking care of things around the house. I found the top of the kitchen table. Cool. Probably did 5 loads of laundry or more. Cut out the lining for a new pair of breeches for SCA.
Spent all of today(Monday) with John, something that does not happen very much. We played some Wii games this morning(Wii Resort ROCKS!), hung a new light fixture in the dining room(woohoo!), watched home improvement shows, dozed off on the couch because the dog was sleeping on me exuding those nefarious puppy ions that make you sleep, had steak for dinner...a fine day spent just the 2 of us(plus puppies).
Took pics of things we are getting rid of that I will post up at school. Made posters for teacher workroom with the pics. I feel good about that....recycling stuff!
This week will be busy. Have my first Japan club meeting on Wednesday...I love these kids...usually they PACK my room...last year we had 39 members. They like to meet on Fridays(oy)... so there we all are, packed into my room, learning to speak Japanese and about the culture, until 430-5pm. They are just crazy about it all, and all I have to do is give them a place to meet and they do the rest. They take on the responsibility of running the meetings, creating the activities, etc. This is why I will donate my Fridays to them. They are so awesome!
but....its a short week, and a payday week too. Hooray!
