(no subject)
its been a while...a LONG while since i last updated...almost 4 months...suppose i should make a list of things i want to touch upon, so here goes:
- school
- work
- money
- family
- social
- audition
- surprises
alright then.
SCHOOL. after a rough start to the semester (more than a handful of delays and canceled classes due to horrible weather), i am "taking" three classes (practicum, history of invention and innovation, and graphics)...i am ENROLLED in four (anthropology being the one that i havent been attending)...i had dropped sped after the first class because i found out it was a hybrid class (half in person, half online) and there's no way i would have been able to pass it on top of everything else...plus, i dont do so well with checking academic sites for homework assignments (hence, my nasa spinoffs for hist isnt done yet)...theyre lucky if they can get me to check my email every day, ha!
anyway...practicum necessitated me not attending hist on mondays because my third grade has class with arango (the prof) right in the middle of that class...so i taught/teach every monday...i have two or three lessons left to do with the kids...i want to cover evaporation and the water cycle, show them an awesome site that joe showed me the other night about the great lakes, we still have the scrapbook to make, i still have to make submarines with them, gah, its a lot to do...and then, i still have to do my dream lesson with them for my final exam grade for arango...it has to involve something im passionate about, and i have NO idea what to do it on! i love doing a lot of different things, but im not skilled enough at any to teach about them...i was thinking about doing something with frisbee and having the kids throw the disc, measure the distance it traveled, and calculate the average of all the throws...but that would mean that the weather would have to be nice outside, and idk how arango would like it...
homework list to finish by the end of next week:
- turn in app for summer financial aid for my class
- 5pg paper about RI lighthouses
- presentation about lighthouses (ppt, 12min in length)
- webquest crap (dewolf family & wilkinson mill)
- nasa spinoffs
- TRworkbench timeline (steal pix from pete)
- lesson for tomorrow
- scrapbook lesson
- dream lesson
- finish my logo design work
- scholarship apps (thomas g king and polozzi)
pete dropped the program :( he's going to neit when it starts up again
enough about school...im going to have to deal with that later on today so id rather not bore myself to tears about it now.
WORK. took my vacation from work this past week because the unit for practicum was supposed to be due on the 20th, but he pushed it up to the 27th...worked friday night and last night at dad's in medway to make some extra money...andre told me friday night and then again last night i should tell dad to put me on the schedule every week lol so i told andre to tell him before he left and daddy heard me and said, tell me what...so i told him and he was like, i was actually thinking about doing it because i can always use the friday help and as long as youre not ringing reg, steve (his DM) shouldnt have a problem with it...so looks like im working friday nights again lol...i keep only getting scheduled three days a week at shaws so i need the extra money...BILLS BILLS BILLS...fml, i hate that i went to school at uri for two fucking years...because now im paying for it for the next fifteen...
so i started this entry around 230...since then, i have talked with my mother about my school/financial troubles and how i may have to put off school for a year so i can get some serious money saved up by working anywhere from one to three jobs...i am emotionally drained, so i am putting this entry on hold until the next time i HAVE time to finish it...because i have to get going on this stupid ass lesson plan i have to teach tomorrow to kids that i keep having nightmares about...
maybe the nightmares are trying to tell me something...?
