As I drink too much water
[Gasp] And I'm updating again. So, I definitely didn't do any work for that class this weekend. Had to move out of Hillside Saturday so now everything is swarming the family room. Picked up my apartment key and hopefully I'll grab my parking permit for the area and get the forms to fix my residency status (the school messed up and assigned me as out-of-state... considering my laziness I'm tempted to just pay the fees... but yeah I'll get that done).
So, Saturday I went through Ikea with the parents. I think I'll stick to looking through the catalog more than I'll browse the store. I definitely get a bit overwhelmed in areas like that, but damn that's a lot of "LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME" stuff there. But anyway, decided I'm getting the Malm series of furniture (I'm in love with the bed) in medium brown. It's annoying being in that store though, felt like I was being herded along like cattle. I can't even remember what else we looked at actually, but we did something else I'm sure.
That night, my Mom and I noticed Best Buy was having a sell for the week on laptops. So, yay new laptop! I was waiting for Dave to try and fix the other one but I would have to buy ram for that IF it worked afterwards. So, if it does work, I plan on either letting Dave put Linux on it (I'm TRYING to learn it, but I think I'll let him learn it first) or give it to my parents so they can use it and maybe get a wireless router. It was interesting getting this laptop because I tried to find another place to buy it and compare prices... couldn't find it ANYWHERE, even the Best Buy website since they still had the previous week's flyer online. So, that night I was all frustrated about not finding it since I love to comparison shop. So, we plan on waking up early to try and get it (which turned out unnecessary since it seemed like they had more than enough, and it wasn't that busy since we were there a little after eleven). So in the morning I find it online and try to order it but their site's stupid and doesn't configure for financial options. But, anyway we get it over at the store. I'm still trying to get used to it; especially since it has Vista home (sigh, it doesn't do all that cool stuff they put in the commercials, poop on Microsoft).
Sunday, I also get my "computer cart" from Staples, buy Norton for the laptop (I'll eventually buy Office, but I'll use the trial for now). Still haven't done any school work considering I have a bunch of make up stuff to do and I'm updating this instead. Sigh... and that's it for now.
Oh! So, went to sushi today w/Kim and was worried because there was a bad accident @ 198 and 29 so there was a good amount of rerouting through 198. So when I finally set out, I thought the little back up that remained was from that. But NO, turned out there were about 7 cops with 3 guys on the curb with cuffs on. HA... no seriously, I laughed.
Yes. Off I go to play with my laptop and NOT get any work done (I'll just do it during class).
