(no subject)
Just got in from the Weezer/Pixies double-header. Oh. My. God. I'm gonna do this Becky format, except for the fact that there are no minuses:
+ We had the best seats in the house. Like, actually the best seats in the house. Front row centre of the 200 section at the Molson Amphitheatre. Hilary Potter and Heather were a row behind us and a few seats over, and they definitely agreed.
+ Weezer opened with Say It Ain't So. I LOVE that song.
+ THEY PLAYED EL SCORCHO!!! I've been waiting four years to hear that song.
+ Weezer played a nice mix of songs from all five albums.
+ The Pixies opened with Velouria.
+ They played all 5 of my favourite songs: Allison (which made me miss my friend Alison all the more), Hey, Debaser, Where is My Mind, and, of course, Gigantic.
+ Frank Black was even fatter than he was at the last Pixies show (November), which was quite a feat.
+ The kid who plays George Michael on Arrested Development was sitting 5 seats down from us. No joke. The camera really does add ten pounds: he's a scrawny little bitch.
+ Fireworks by Benson and Hedges Symphony of Fire after the show. Fucking awesome way to end an awesome night.
